Has anyone from NSC eaten there since they reopened after a megabucks refurb? Is it any good, or is it just pretentious and overpriced? I'm thinking of taking my partner and our daughter there on Saturday week to celebrate the anniversary of my birth, because it's within easy staggering distance of Binney Towers.

Its Martin Webb's new venture.
I think the idea is to make it similar to the fayre on offer at The Connaught.
I was told that there is a limited menu with not many choices. Not sure if it tastes any good though.

yep ate there this weekend just gone...

Food was very good and pub has a very nice atmosphere to it. My girlfriend and I both rated it higher than the Connaught as we feel that place is a bit lifeless.

Pub garden is nice, loads of seats and gets the sun till very late... pleased as its my new local now and the pubs around there are mainly shit!

Went there on Sunday for a roast with Mrs Uter and Miss Uter. Really liked what they have done with it. I went for the Pork and Mrs Uter went for the Chicken. Sorry to say my pork was very dry, but the chicken was excellent. The supposed half size childrens portion was almost as big as the adults. Bit pricey, under £2 change from £30 for 2 and a half meals.

All in all I think we'll definitely go back. Hopefully the dry pork was a one off.
