Well worth a 'part' binge watch this weekend if the weather is too bad, classic suspense and Eddie Redmayne again showing he's one of our top quality 'Thesps'

10 episodes, only 7 out at the moment, new episode out every Thursday morning.

Fair play to Sky for keeping the suspense going and not putting all 10 out in one hit.

Annoyingly, my daughter's NOW subscription on which I piggy-backed has just expired or I'd have been all over this. Good ratings on IMDb.

I've watched the first 6, got the latest one downloaded for tonight. It really is excellent.

Something I've noticed though is the ADS. First 2-3 episodes they're manageable. but once they know you're hooked, f*ck me do they pepper you. I'm quite adept now at going x30 to fast-forward it and stop when the bloody Volvo ad comes up, but its still cuffing ANNOYING.

Aside from that though, its top TV drama.

Been watching it over here on Peacock. A great cat-and-mouse thriller.
Think we might be an episode behind. Just got episode 6 yesterday. So no spoilers please.

I’ve got virgin media and have downloaded the Virgin TV go app. When I’ve been watching Jackal, I haven’t been getting any ads at all, each episode has been 45 min long.

Mmm. I'm not convinced at at by this series. I'm a huge fan of the original film and this is just a poor update. I think my biggest issue is that every single disguise the master mimic Jackal uses all sort of look like Eddie Redmayne to varying degrees. Old Eddie, bald Eddie etc...

Only seen 3 episodes so far, but catching up and it's a very good watch.

Other than Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Real Time with Bill Maher it's the only thing on Now TV that I've bothered to watch in the last three months.

Agree it’s an excellent series. The original film is also on Sky Cinema.

I suppose there was a spolier already built in to the original feature film as we already knew that de Gaulle didn't die by assassination, but despite that knowledge it still managed to maintain the tension.

Whereas the TV series doesn't feature a real life character as the target.

We are enjoying it. Binge watched the first 5 that Sky put out and now eagerly waiting each new episode on Thursday evenings.

Re ad breaks. With Sky Q you can fast forward them by saying into the remote "Fast forward 4 minutes". Of course, some break ads are shorter but works with everything I watch. I think anything with a 'sponsored by (Volvo)' ad before the ads works.

I like the original film and rarely like remakes - plus I'm never giving Sky a single penny of my money in my whole life.

I might fire up the DVD player tonight for the Edward Fox version who incidentally is still alive.

It’s watchable and ok, but instantly forgettable. Nothing to really bang on about.

Yes totally agree. I'm struggling a bit and whilst I'm no oil painting I think Eddie is a bit weird looking. He looks like an over stretched face lift with that stiff jaw line or a little bit like Nikki Lauda post accident.

By contrast in currently really enjoying The Penguin with Colin Farrell
