Up your alley
That could be construed as 'financial advice' by some - so I'd rather not.

I would encourage you to look up Ripple, their seats with the WEF, IMF, Central Banks, the Digital Pound Foundation, Digital Euro, the fact they're on the board for ISDA, their work with most of the World's Central Banks, their upcoming Stablecoin (RLUSD) which will probably usurp Tether USDT, and the 1700 NDA's they have signed with Banks and Institutions. The Banking licences they have around the world, the fact that most of their board have come from the Elite companies and financial institutions, and their Director Rosie Rios is the former treasurer of the United States (with her signature on the $100 bill). Their board is literally the Harlem Globetrotters of the corporate world. Would they all put their good names and spotless reputations to a rug-pull? D'ya think?

Ripple still have 45 Billion XRP in escrow and their own accounts, so I'd say it's in their interest for the token to do well. They are also laser-focused on the XRPL and are constantly adding new features to be used in the near future.

So, you could say it's all a scam and it's going nowhere... or maybe not.

XRP army always good for sentiment. if they give up we're truely hosed. :lolol:
I hold a number of other Crypto's. I'm not XRP Army at all. I see a future for XLM, HBAR, Quant, Vechain, IOTA, XDC, Arbitrum, Axelar, Flare, Velo and others.

However, if someone made me choose just one - it'd be XRP every time.

Oh, and the old "Laser Eyes and Diamond Hands" saying is a Bitcoin one, FYI.

How is this "sentiment" ?!! It's facts.

Stone cold, hard facts, researchable on the internet and from a plethora of official government and institutional documents released around the world - in PDF, too!

Does Satoshi Nakamoto have a seat at the table with the World's Banks and Financial Institutions? No, he's a fictional character. Nobody knows who made Bitcoin (well, it was the CIA, but...)

Does Vitalik Buterin appear at DAVOS and speak to the World Economic Forum and the Bank of International Settlements? Nope, he probably stays at home and eats pizza in his pyjamas whilst knocking one out to SBF's ex.

Yet these are the top two cryptocurrencies by market cap! And people snort at Ripple and XRP. :shootself

Look at what goes on behind the scenes - not what clickbait knobheads on YouTube say, and what you read on t'internet.

But yeah.. Laser Eyes and Diamond Hands. I just made all the above up. Real world use cases, coming down the pipes, with full regulation....

yea, that's the problem there. Ripple and XRP, get merged togther when they have opposing interests. Ripple doesn't need XRP, fact they want a stable coin makes it redundant. sorry. XRP is just another L1 competing with far too many others, many of which have better profile and buy in from developers, who drive interest through apps.
XRP will go up sure but not a market beater, will underperform as old bag holders sell off into higher prices. not the only one, anything on 3rd cycle wont do so well, including BTC and ETH.

With respect, you've just demonstrated you know nothing about the XRP Ledger, Ripple, or XRP.

so tell me what's the primary driver for XRP use if they are using stablecoin for transfers; how does it accrue value?

At present I have to say that a control amount I invested in my ISA (into 3 Vanguard tracker funds and Fundsmith Sustainable) is up 9%, while my crypto bet is down 25%

I await the glorious upturn like a Scientologist waits to be beamed up to the mothership.
Update please

Update please

Bitcoin up 6%
ETH and Sol worth slightly less than I paid at the time.
HBAR and ATOM well down.

ISA:
Vanguard FTSE tracker up 20%
Smith and Nephew up 9%
Vanguard Europe (exc. UK) up 5%
Vanguard Japan and Fundsmith Sustainable worth roughly what I paid.

ISA still winning, but Bitcoin is in the green. (I clearly bought it during a spike)

BTC 💚
XRP 💚
ICP 💚
HBAR 💚
SOL 💔

Solana is the only one of my bag that's losing. Well that and the Best Blockchain thematics in Swiss. Lost about 50% of my investment but now the bull has broken free I hope this will go into the green.

I am vary wary of Solana, it has next disaster written all over it along with Tether.
Absolutely agree with both sentiments. I feel Solana was pumped to get the FTX losers out of a hole and keep their 'plant' SBF out of a lifetime in prison, and I think Tether is propping up Bitcoin and US Treasuries. Tether stinks, it's failed the MICA regulations - and I think USDC and RLUSD will mop up the mess nicely.

I agree about tether, may usdc slowly take over but defi on Solana has a nice UI and is very easy to use. For example, solflare, jup.ag and kaminofi and marginfi are fast and cheap to use. Solana crashed and burned after the ftx debacle but anyone who bought solana at 8 usd is laughing now. I think solana will do well again this next altseason bullrun, after that, who knows....

solana is the darling of this cycle and only going up, unless it completely fails. at which point it's the catalyst for end of the bull run and collapse of everything. which is probably quite likely, it has technical limitations, doesn't really deal with the whole decentralisation issue, but crypto market doesn't seem to care.

the new zietgeist is about cults and community over utility, hence the memecoin frenzy. some have suggested all crypto are memecoins in essense and apart from very few genuine useful projects that's probably correct. i also think that's probably just a self-delusional analysis to justify pumping daft memes, but as the supposed utility coins are doing sweet fanny adams on their own for pushing value, it's become self fulfilling.

Bear in mind the 'Utility Coins' aren't being used at scale. Yet.

We're in a purely speculative market, still. Whilst this is the case, any old crap can sky rocket in value on sentiment and hype alone.

The day will come when laws and regulations will sort it all out. Then we will see the real winners, and most of these are hidden in plain sight.
