Mostly just wages, the problem is this, is it now irreversable ? Can we start to drop players wages in this country without losing al the "better" players, I dont know the answer but is English football the highest payed?
Surely the simplest way to stop this bollocks is to slap a wage cap down, say 70% of turnover?

As a 'whole' the Premier League pays the highest in world football. It's reversible but will mean the break up of the Premier League into two divisions. The Top 6 will form a European or even World Super League with clubs from other nations.
Given yesterdays lesson and given the ridiculous amount of cash needed to compete in the Premiership, I'd be more than happy for a few solid years in the Championship

Wigan's turnover was £50M.They received £41M for TV rights from the Premier League which I assume is included in their turnover figure. There average gate for home matches was 17,000.
