The cost of the MARVELLOUS SCENES and WREXHAM banners

I now have the pricing details of the banners...

The good news is that the banners can easily get done in time.
The bad news is that they are more expensive than I first thought.

They are vinyl banners, complete with eyelets in each corner to post 'mooring' ropes through - and therefore totally re-usable.

A 20ft x 3ft banner will cost £188
A 30ft x 3ft banner will cost £282

Going through the threads, we have £160 pledged for the Wrexham banner, and £190 pledged for the Marvellous Scenes banner.

As you can see, we have nearly covered the costs for a couple of 20ft banners, but it would be superb if we could get 30ft banners. I am happy to pay upfront for this. My main concern is ensuring that those who have pledged actually do pay me back. Some people have pledged twice (£20). I appreciate that this is a pain, but if I could have some opinions on (a) the size of banner we should go for, and (b) to re-confirm that everyone who has pledged actually can pay.

If all is OK, I will PM all pledgees individually with details of where to send a cheque. If I get more than the cost of the banners in, I will donate the surplus to REMF.

Go...

Why don't you give a bank account details and get people to pay direct via the internet?

Or maybe the one Bozza used for whatever it was we coughed up for last as I can't remember - easy come, easy go...

Prefer on-line payment myself (does anyone use a cheque nowadays?!?).

And if you have any reservations about making your bank account details public - I'll quote mine again and transfer the money over to you by your chosen method as and when...

What's the deadline? I suppose invite donations and then go with whatever we can afford. 30ft would of course be better. We must 100% have permission to show them though!

Ideally, I would like everyone's OK by this evening, so that I can work on it tomorrow. The signmakers set me a deadline of Wednesday morning for it to come back to me by Friday - but the earlier the better.

Regarding permission, who is dealing with that? Was there someone already on the case? I can't see there being a major problem as Millwall had one with "no-one likes us, we don't care" in English and Welsh.

Paul Samrah is on to them to find out about Falmer Banners so I'll email him to find out what the situation is.

Al, The Dismal Jimmy said they would put some money towards the Wrexham banner. Will have to see how much.

I'll also pledge £10 towards the total cost of the 2 banners. Definitely much easier to pay it direct into a bank account rather than writing/posting a cheque. Just need the sort code and account number with people using their username as a reference, e.g. "razi banner" so you know who has paid.

I still use cheques !
Happy to reaffirm my tenner for the Marvellous Scenes banner, TLO. Just let me know where to send the cheque and it will go first class (courtesy of the office postbag...I'm too tight for stamps).

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

I pledge £20, ideally £10 for each banner but you can use it however. PM a name/address and I'll send a cheque. Having said that it won't be until after Cardiff as I'm about to go abroad for a few days. Hope that's not a problem.

If you want to give me the tenner, I'll pay it with mine via net.
Saves you a cheque.
