The commentary was stupidly biased

In fairness, we were under pressure for most of the game. But it was literally the PERFECT away performance. Weather the storm and take your chances when they come along, then just stay resilient and organised.

Southampton dominated, the commentry reflected that. But Gus had us set up to a tee. Hugely impressive.

.....for some of the game. Possession Saints 47% BHA 53%. We also had more shots on target.

I was just in my usual "utterly shitting myself" mode whenever I watch us on the tellybox.
I suppose to any neutral it looked like a comfortable win.

I know that feeling very well. I was watching with some neutrals who thought it was a great game and that we deserved to win it. Southampton are a dangerous attacking outfit and we were always going to have to defend for spells during the game. The curse of supporting any one side is that time literally slows down whenever the opposition have the ball.

Except when it came to awarding penalties.

Disagree, Myself and the two Brighton fans I was watching with didnt think it was a pen till after two replys, Murray didnt help matters by doing the dying swan.

Whings was more blatent and impossible not to give

Skys coverage was good.

Definite penalty when Murray was kneed in the thigh from behind.

Whing gave away a cert too.

Forster hit the post.

Hammond was shit.

Cox made Harding look like an idiot for the first goal!

Birtles holds a grudge against Albion ever since his boots got nicked when Forest trained at Cardinal Newman school way back in the old first division

Sky coverage was excellent. Beagrie, as usual, was superb. Birtles is ok - he just reflected the neutral expectation that Saints were favourites and should win.

I agree with this, I thought it was a fair relection of the game, the commentary was good and largely accurate.

Apart from getting Bennett and Cox mixed up. :jester:

Murrays was a definat penalty. An absolute stonewall. But who cares? The ref was a total wanker though, he got so many decisions wrong. It was disgraceful.

BUT WHO CARES! WE WON!
