Remember seeing them at the top rank years ago.

I saw them there as well;1990. And yes they did used to have some good bands there.
Also saw them a few times in 2010 when Mr Ryder was support I mean 'Special Guesting' with them. Was pleasantly surprised that they were good and could still pull in a decent crowd.

I must have been unlucky I think. Seen them 3 times in the last 10 years. Each time they clearly couldn't be arsed and never came back for an encore!

Yup they definitely still have it. I saw them a few times in the 90's and they were always quality.

Indeed. I saw James, Inspiral Carpets, Primal Scream (on the Screamadelica Tour), Flowered Up, and I dont know who else.
Some of those was when it had changed to the Event mind, but the principals the same.

Just finished the book, great read. Saw them in 1990, they were great.
