For all those that would like to go to Cardiff but are not sure. How about running an NSC coach and doing the Cardiff experience together ? Not the Costa special but a coach for a laugh and going to Cardiff and getting it out of the way. Would anyone be up for it ? Don't post or reply if your not serious. Run the coach as cheap as possible to cover hire charges dependant on numbers. Anyone up for it or excuses ?

...if anyone has a contact in the Iraqi army who can lay their hands on a couple of dozen armoured personnel carriers (that is if the Yanks didn't trash the whole lot), please could they post details on here, might be safer than a coach...

Had a strange chain text the other day. I think it was from a mate who I used to go to the games with in my schooldays who still enjoys a bit of "sport" with opposing fans.

It seems that plans are afoot for some of our "lads" to have a day out in South Wales.

We may not need to book for Cardiff if we go up automatically. Wait a few more weeks dodge and we'll see how the land lies then.

I'll be willing to put a few bob down that our 'lads', such as they are, give Cardiff a miss. They've been very 'hard' at Southend and Aldershot in recent years, but have given Millwall and south Wales a wide berth.

Is there a word for a fair-weather hoolie?

Nice idea. Great idea, in fact.

However, it looks like you're not exactly being knocked over in the rush.

Would it help at all if I could provide a comfortable pub for travellers on this particular coach to have a meal and a few pints in before the game, and offer advice on how to get to and from Ninian Park as safely as possible for all coach travellers?

It's 2005 now. A new era. These things can be done. Honest.

Depends - will you be there? Don't hold with all this incredibly gay "fans uniting" stuff before the game myself.

I'm reasonably confident that I could assure the travelling Albion fans that they will be welcomed and treated well within the particular pub that I would arrange for them, and that they would have a safe and pleasant journey from the pub to the ground.

Except for you, that is. But you don't travel away with Albion anyway, do you? So this thread is null and void as far as you're concerned.

Ha, your usual level of accuracy :lolol: Delighted to hear you'd make an exception in my case though. I frankly wouldn't trust you further than I can throw you, any directions you'd give us would be probably just to meet all your HOOLIE mates

So you do travel away with the Albion then, LI? In that case, please accept my sincere apologies. I must have confused you with some other twat-lipped gobshite pile of nothing at all. These things happen, as I'm sure you'll understand.

That's better, TLB, a nice bit of old-fashioned ENMITY :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

I'm only saving you from yourself, mate - all this arranging pubs and safe routes for opposition fans, far too much of a Wrexham-style "love-in", innit? :lolol: Next thing you'll be wearing a scarf with a bluebird and a seagull on it!

All very amusing but I would be prepared to stand up for TLB having already met him.

Considering quite a few have met you at meet ups etc that would have been a good idea but as you say the rush hasn't started yet. Surely will be a stampede of fans wanting to go who ventured to Spurs soon. Afterall Spurs are just as bad as hoolies as Cardiff, In fact I seem to remember Spurs gave Cardiff a good welcome at a cup game recently. Went after the women and kids I believe. Now if we had 5400 at Spurs can't we get 50 odd off here to venture to Cardiff ?
