Ed Balls cant even add up. reckons the change from 50p - 45p upper tax will cost £3Bn, when the treasury says the 50p rate pulled in £1bn and even Labours own original estimate was for £2.5Bn. so where does £3Bn come from? whatever you may think of the change thats poor maths for a shadow chancellor.

Official Monster Raving Looney if they field a candidate. they usually leave it to the unofficial looney parties.

I'm pretty happy with the coalition as my political standpoint is pretty much in between the Tories and lib dems. Would vote conservative though. N

I'm constantly surprised by the people that, having spent a lifetime voting Lib Dem, say they will never vote for them again because they've gone against their election promises. To me, an election promise is what you say you'll do if you win - they came 3rd.

I have my own reasons for hating the Lib Dems :falmer:

I blame the last government.
Very much this.

Traditionally a lib dem voter, but I won't be voting for this shower after they sold their soul for a whiff of power. They haven't even got PR out of it. They should have let the Tories form a minority government and blocked or amended anything unpalatable.

But as beorthlem says, one look at the labour front bench says all you need to know. They are an absolute joke. I think I'll be protest voting - not sure how yet. I want an emphasis on social justice and simplifying bureaocracy.

What a load of toss all this "I blame the last tax and spend" govt is. The Tories and Lib Dems must be congratulated for selling the biggest lie to the British public. We want to believe that lie because we want someone to blame. After all, if there is no one to blame its not very convenient.

Remember this everyone, when Blair and Brown were making economic policy no Tory or Lib was jumping up and down and telling the country how wrong it was. They even supported it.

I couldn't vote Labour right now (and, no surprise I'm a left leaning voter). Milliband and Balls would be a disaster for the country. They lack leadership and policy - it is all just too dogmatic. Despite what Balls thinks we can't just spend our way out of this (idiot) just as Osbourne is wrong to cut his way out of it (idiot with lack of moral judgement).

If there was a vote tomorrow I would have to go for...

Same here. It's a protest vote for me. We need a change because it does not matter who you have in, Con, Lab, Lib they are all as bad as each other. Nothing will change, nobody is listening to us, so there is no harm in giving someone else a go.

Still Tory as Labour are unelectable whilst they Have Laurel and Hardy, Ed Milliband and Ed Balls leading the way. However I am coming to the conclusion all of them are tossers really.

Don't know who I'd actually vote for, but out of interest, how do you re-elect a coalition - apart from everyone voting the same as last time. I don't see how it works, if people are relatively happy with the Con/LD pact - how do you vote to get them back in ? (not that I see that happening as LD have pissed off enough people and proved be be pretty ineffective, I think)

Good call.

ps I particularly liked proposal 9 (out of 10) from their last Election Manifesto: We will ban all forms of Greyhound racing. This will help stop the counrty going to the dogs. That's razor-sharp Loony insight for ya. :clap2:

Sadly,I voted LibDem last time as their slogan in this constituency was "Vote LibDem:keep the Tories out." So I did,and they didn't.

So I got my tactics wrong last time:I backed the wrong horse.

Now we have a Government made up of people I do not trust, and whose policies are typical Tory.Although they never won the election they have power. That's politics, and good luck to them.Cameron's lot should have cakewalked the last election, but they didn't.Labour should have been reduced much, much further than they have been, but have since assisted the right of politics by electing the unelectable as leaders.

Next time I will vote for a party of the left if there is one to vote for.Otherwise I will vote Labour and hope the LibDem here has used his time in power wisely to make contacts for a new career.

I kinda agree that politicians as well as experts and analysts become very savvy retrospectively, but even Labours own Liam Byrne left a hand written note exclaiming that there was no money left.

Hardly a ringing endorsement of their economic strategy , was it ??

If there was a major consensus for this, then the two parties in some constituencies could form Conservative-Liberal pacts, a put up a shared candidate who represents the ideals of the Coalition, and not just one particular party.

Me too. What a bunch of self-serving tossers they were - and indeed are. I sincerely hope that the despicable Clegg & his lying cronies are voted out of existence at the next General Election.
