The ever reliable :cough: wikipedia denies that claim.

The resulting single, "Inside," topped the U.K. Singles Chart in 1994, but the band failed to produce further chart successes of the same kind with the follow-up single "Footsteps" reaching #34. Stiltskin split in 1996, during the recording of their uncompleted second album.

YouTube - Laurie Anderson - O Superman

Absolute classic IMHO !

Made it into the UK charts crica '81. I heard some years later that she refused to perform it on Top of The Pops as they wanted her to do a 3 minute version and she refused to cut it down from it's 8 glorious minutes. Don't know if this is true or not.

How can you forget his massive follow-up? Made the top thirty in Canada - not sure how. It's a song about canned ham. Quite how a Jew could sing one song about Jesus and another about ham is beyond me.

I saw this guy playing at Brookes with his old man* and he was the TICKET. Shame he was following on from The Cheeky Girls.

I give you....

* His old man was sensational. How did he not make it on his own?
