A heads up as it's getting rave reviews, all over the place.

A compelling story, apparently well told.

If you need more convincing:-

Starring Eddie Marsan.

Excellent stuff - thoroughly enjoyed that. And provided a welcome bit of background, as we anticipate the Paralympics starting on the 29th. Top notch.

Don't watch much Drama, but just stumbled across it 5 mins in. It was a little close to home, but stuck with it. Thought it was brilliant. Found myself shedding a tear at the end, because it resonated with me. I'm the parent at the end, but remember the parent at the start.

Told a story I knew nothing about so am much wiser now.

Thank's for the heads up, marvellous story and great timing ahead of the para's.

Utterly compelling. What great performances in such an inspiring story about the history of the "parallel olympics"
Seems unbelievable now that crippled soldiers were seen as so useless to the point of being belivered to the hospital in coffins and sedated to the point of coma until they passed away.
This story in Stoke Mandeville hospital is were one of the names for the olympic mascots came from (wenlock and Mandeville)

Oh yes, one final thing I've remembered about this.

According to EM, the original idea was for it to be a programme for Rob Brydon, about his character.
That is until the full story was looked into and Eddie came on board.
