Penny Lane
Number 9, number 9 number 9 etc etc etc
Yeah that B side is the f*cking business. You can hear them peaking / burning out and then they were gone.
I'm not a huge Beatles fan to be honest, but there is something extraordinary about that side of the album.
Go to 11 press play couldn't get to work first time. Enjoy.
She's leaving home' still brings a lump to my throat! Bloody Mcartney then followed this up by doing 'Another day' Bastard! had me weeping rivers! love early MacShe's leaving home

My Fav Mac album is 'Red Rose speedway' First true love gave it to me as a ' we are over present' Bitch! Played it solidly for 6wks and still know every word of 'dragon fly' and still 'blub'...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
That's a pretty damn good line to go out on, I forgive him the frog chorus for that.
You forget how many class songs thet wrote.
I remember Macca talking about 'going through the motions' of yet another Lennon/McCartney album in Abbey Road... and then the boy Harrison came up with two absolute pearler's and stole the album away from them ... Here Comes The Sun and Something... unbelievably good melodies and lyrics.
