A week seems to be a long way off to have any confidence in a weather forecast.

That chart is for Friday next week, it will almost certainly change, but it's a cracking chart none the less.
The one model that was suggesting a return to milder conditions by Wednesday had bottled it and agreed to some extent with the other models which is promising.

The cold weather pushes in Saturday evening, but the thing with snow is you can never be too sure. There's always a chance of some snow from Sunday onwards.

Metcheck (for Eastbourne admittedly) is showing for Sleet all day Saturday, then Snow for the following 3 days. The weather on my iphone also says the same, though BBC says a little bit of snow Sunday evening only. Met Office app says heavy rain Saturday and a touch of snow Sunday evening and Monday night.

I'm sure the government have banned anyone from legally predicting heavy snowfall!
One thing does look certain though... It will be a bit nippy next week!

The 18z GFS continues the gradual recovery of cold weather next week. We might be on for snow next week, as ECM still backs the cold forecast as well. GFS only out to 120 hours so far, but looking good.
