Some people on here owe Uncle S an apology I think. Some called him an idiot for saying there would be now snow in Brighton and he was right. That's the thing with forecasting; it has to be dispassionate as it's so easy to add an element of hope even when the facts don't agree. I always thought that this event was marginal on the coast :-( but some people have castigated US unfairly.

However, it was very cold this week, so you win some, you lose some some:)

Lets see what the rest of Feb brings, as the signal is still for northern blocking.

Correct. Outlook for the rest of Feb is cold. So we might get snow next time around.

100 cms? Holy CRAP! Does Hailsham have it's own weather system?

LOL, my job works in millimetres, never use cms, but got side tracked by Lord Bamber posting in Craig Mackail Smiths, I meant 10 cms or 100 mms

By the seaside in West Somerset
3-4 inches on the banks of the Severn and the dogs are missing out on their usual 4 mile walk though the woods and down into the valley where logic suggests it might be deep enough to lose a dachshund :)

I think that this is very diplomatic us guesses! He was determined that it would not snow at all and it has, even in brighton i can see it outside my window -us epic fail

I agree - US clearly stated that there would be NO snow and that winter was over. With respect, you can't get anymore black & white than that.

Sadly very little snow a couple of mins from seaford beach - I'll just keep cheery about the train loads of peeps on the seaford to falmer line on matchdays, never knew there are so many seagulls fans in not so sunny seaford !
