Complete nonsense time to be playing any sport.

Time aside, players arguably might like it, as surely likely to be cooler at that time, rather than playing at 3/4pm Aussie time.

I was in Oz a couple of years back during the Aussie Open when they had the latest ever finishing match. One of the Williams sisters refused to have her match switched from the centre court. So the men's singles match scheduled for that court had to wait til her match had finished. Forget who was playing now, but the game started about 1am and finished something like half four in the morning. Madness.

That was the match between Baghadtis and Leyton Hewitt, something like 15,000 fans stayed to the end to cheer on Hewitt. Mental.
