They really should go back to Sugar giving money to the winner rather than actually investing in the winner. It makes a mockery of the whole process.

As if there was any doubt as to the lack of integrity in this show, Phil was utterly useless having lost all but one task whereas Flo gave the impression of someone who was actually competent. But what was the point of Flo being there given that her business plan was ludicrous? And what was the point of grilling the business plans at all when Paul was simply allowed to revert to promoting what he was good at, allowing him to make the final 3 before Sugar's stupid "offer"?

Only last week they kept Rachel when she was clearly the most culpable of the 3 in the board room for the failure of the task. It really is a bag of shit tbh.

Flo and Tre were the most backable but their business plans were absolute dog poo. Shame

I thought our man was wrong about that. Surely the establishment of a business doesn't start from the day a Company is formed? You could trade in pies for many years before you establish the Company.
So you support the assertion that Palace can make the 1861 claim then?

That bit of the interviews was very disingenuous. The fact is that the grandmother started making pies for The Commercial Hotel in Bognor in 1933 so - technically - pies sold commercially, not just for friends and family. Three generations of Turner's have sold pies commercially.

The accounts actually show that the business was incorporated in 2012 but that the company acquired the goodwill (presumably from Phil's parents) for just £60K. Now it has annual sales of £2.6 million, so Sugar's £250K would barely get him a minority stake (steak?) in that company.

i think they should change the format and change it into something that actually helps the people who put their time and effort into making sirallun even more money than he has now.

In the tasks where they make something then go to the public or focus groups for feedback they should then have time to use that feedback to change the product.

Make it a three day task instead of a two day task, day 1 prototype, day 2 feedback and changes, day 3 sell.

Then they should discuss their business plans with advisors early on and get feedback “trey, you need a sample here mate”, “”Phil, where is the p&l”.

Make it more like real life and give them a chance and where the business plans are stupid like dentist boys clothes they can either change the plan or bow out and stop wasting their own time.

Tre needs to go into sales, he would make an excellent salesman.

Flo looked one of the most competent and serious individuals, I’m sure she’ll do well in whatever she does.

And I agree re founding of Mr Pies’s company, they were making pies for over 90 years so I don’t see anything wrong in putting est 1933.

Just seen this thread.

Amazed Noor and Maura lasted so long. Noor specifically was stupid as F. Maura was a clown but had the best eyes I've ever seen.

Phil to win. Surely Alan can't invest in another gym.

Fair play Paul not wanting to give up 50% of everything, respect to that man.

Another female winner, another gym business - that's two in a row following Marnie's Bronx Boxing Gyms of last year.

Sugar's decision makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Rachel has lost money every year she has traded, and she never got called out on it.

Even worse, there is already a company called Studio Build Ltd - it's a design agency and it's in LEEDS, so that name is non-starter too.

Just went to have a look at Phil’s website and it seems to have crashed so I imagine he’ll be doing some good business for the next few days

The gym concept will fail as Sugar rightly said trainers move on and take clients with them. Pie boy was doing well until he opened his mouth in the board room. Pies by post, laughable.

Sugar's interview in Your Fired! - he said that he didn't intend to do any work, he'd give Rachel the money and let her crack on. Hardly the example on how to succeed in business.

I also see from Marnie's latest accounts her Bronx Boxing Gym lost £40K last year, so Sugar's £ 250K is now down to £210K, of which he owns £105K.

The show needs a major overhaul, it is disjointed, rushed, unrealistic and messy - indeed, Sugar pitching for half of Paul's dentist business when he had another investor and so wasn't in a position to accept was unethical at best and came across as a tad grubby.
