I will when someone gives me cold hard figures. I get women's football. I doubt women's rugby will ever be truly popular or profitable. But happy to be proved wrong
It's very sad that you only see sport as worthwhile if it is profitable.

Why not go and support a bank or something if that's what's really important?

No I don't care either way money wisely but I'm trying to find a reason we would do this during the football season.

If the club wants to return to playing in Europe, or stop throwing away nearly every cup in the early stages, it will have to learn to host 5-6-7 games more every year, so in case this rugby shite makes the pitch poor, the groundkeepers will just have to learn for the future.

Tyla Shirley from Hove, who made her full debut for Quins last week, is an England U20 international - who knows, she may be in the England team by World Cup. Fingers crossed for her, she's not only a good player, she's a lovely person too

A timely bounce here. Tyla Shirley has just been named in the England squad for this year's Six Nations, so has every chance of being in the squad for the World Cup.

There'd be a massive cheer at the Amex if she does make the squad and make it onto the pitch,

The games held at the Amex for the men’s rugby World Cup were also held during the football season. I don’t remember the pitch being in any way seriously damaged by the games.

These two happen in the middle of an international break so the groundsman have at least a week to get the pitch playable and we can request an away game after the international break if we are that worried about potential damage.

I don't remember it being an issue either, despite what was said earlier in the thread. The pitch used to suffer every Championship season during the winter months - the 2-1 win against Massive is one game I particularly remember where the pitch wasn't looking great - but a couple of games of rugby played in late summer aren't going to cause this.

Good point about how the pitch used to get. I seem to remember it got relaid a couple of times because they weren’t happy with it. Since then it’s held up really well all year round. So I doubt there is any need to worry about this at all.
