To fortuitously coincide with a BBC3 programme about (the lack of openly) gay footballers; Justin Fashanu in particular...

BBC News - The silence over gay footballers

... joining Ady & Al in the studio this week will be Dr Jayne Caudwell, a Senior Lecturer at Brighton University, and a campaigning member of The Justin Campaign, a pressure group tackling homophobia within football. We'll be discussing the issues around homophobia in football, the work of the Justin Campaign, and Jayne's role within it - especially when working alongside Albion In The Community.

We will, of course, also be reviewing the Peterborough game, and hoping that the Shirt of the Week doesn't being on any bouts of nausea.

Tune in at midday this Saturday on 97.2FM or online at radioreverb.com. Failing that, stream the show later at albionroar.co.uk or download the podcast off iTunes.

Which TV programme? They do LOADS.

The one to be screened shortly about this on BBC3, I read in the week a football official was refused permission to be on this program by the Referees League Association who deemed it not fitting for their image or words along that line

I've always been a fan of the conventional 'heston' bale. It's rectangular, weighs about 25kg and is easily stacked in a barn. However, many farmers are now finding 135kg round bales to be a more efficient way of baling and storing hay.

What's the view at the Roar?

I remember my sister being so excited about Fashanu becoming a born again christian, she still has the article somewhere. Would be a good read for all of us who had forgotten that he became a christian long before he publicly annouced his homosexuality. I wonder if this will get an airing his words "I hope the Jesus I love welcomes me, I will at last find peace."

Was Chartlton Heston hay? No wonder he always interviewed in a very deep voice, a man of straw seemingly. And calling himself after twop of our world Cup manly heroes, what a nerve.

Or maybe it was that Sarf-East London mob.
