He claimed they were de classified as he was President, seeing previous had done similar. He locked them in a secure room which was a sensible thing to do. Sold to whoom? were back to Mullers Russia again.

Your right about no equivellence, the media didn't go after the other 2 with spin and mis-information.

Trump derangement Syndrome.
It doesn’t matter whether Trump thinks he declassified the documents or not. The issue is whether DoJ officials can be barred from reviewing them/using them in a criminal trial or whether some are Trump’s personal papers (which should be returned). Whether the documents are classified or not, the Espionage Act (relating to the national defence) and other Statutes cited can still apply to the handling of any ‘declassified’/unclassified information. Especially if the declassification happened without going through proper procedures.

There is no proof Trump informed any other officials that the documents he removed were declassified before being taken to Mars Lago - he simply opinions it unilaterally after the facts. It is in the informing of officials that the appropriate steps can be taken to protect information if necessary which goes to the heart of the case . There are formalised steps and procedures in using executive orders to declassify information that Trump didn’t follow - Trump ‘derangement syndrome indeed’.

That is the issue before the courts.

If you have read anything about this woman you will see she has made multiple claims against various people andis being backed by a major Democrat.
So you're suggesting that previous incidents of dishonesty may lead a rational person to a healthy distrust of that individual?

You, I and everyone on here knows nothing about the case. None of us were in the courtroom and none of us know everything that the jury knows. The jury found in her favour. Legally, it matters not what any number of randos on the internet want to believe. The only thing that matters is that a jury found that he sexually assaulted and then defamed her. Had he just paid up and shut up it would have cost him $5M. It wasn't a major Democrat that made Trump ignore the jury verdict and continue to defame her. Only one person decided to do that and his decision cost him another $83m. $65m of which is purely an incentive for him to just stop doing it.

The twisting of reality necessary to believe Trump is at the level needed to believe that the moon landings were faked. To believe in his honesty means that you have to believe that the entire US state, CIA, FBI, Homeland Security etc. is run by a secret cabal of anti Trumpists and staffed entirely by Americans that agree with their goal, that the shambles of a Democratic party that can't pass legislation to change the Supreme Court or enshrine Roe v Wade, or come up with a better candidate than 81 year old Joe Biden, can mastermind a secret operation to use the courts to bring down their opponent, that every one of the hundreds who have ever worked for or with Trump and afterwards told stories of his dishonesty, cheating or idiocy is making it up having been turned by the deep state, that lifelong right wing Republicans like John Bolton and Bill Barr are no longer Republicans, but acting against things that they've spent their entire political careers promoting, that the insurrection that we all witnessed live on TV in real time, wasn't what we watched, that all European heads of state are conspiring against America, but that Vlladimir Putin is a fair dealing friend, that both the Keynesian influenced economic policies, and right wing foriegn policies of the Biden administration are being set by shadowy communists, and that the current unrivalled success of the economic measures are because the markets are expecting Trump back. Obviously, as the Wikipedia page suggests, there are hundreds more untruths that have to be accepted to trust a man, who had a long history of evidenced dishonesty before even going into politics. (Or you could believe that Wiki, as edited by anyone in the world who wants to contribute, is part of the 'mainstream media' conspiracy to challenge all politicians' statements, rather than just accept as if they were made by a pope or a king).

In short: William of Oakham is spinning in his grave.

Does anyone seriously think Trump’s sexual proclivities and this defamation case anyway is a major issue or anything that will affect us?

Yet again, Trump is using a foreign crisis to score election points - this time using the death of 3 US serviceman to argue that wars would not have happened in his presidency.

More concerning is Trump and the GOP ramping up fervour for an all out war with Iran on the one hand and claiming Biden has led the world to the brink of WW3 on the other - this is pure and frankly highly irresponsible electioneering purely designed to terrify the electorate into voting Republican- Biden has a major problem in how to respond without it further escalating into a war with Iran that frankly, is beginning to look more and more likely - Trump’s bellicose rhetoric will do nothing but inflame tensions with Tehran even more..

“He left our troops as sitting ducks,” said Republican US Senator Tom Cotton. “The only answer to these attacks must be devastating military retaliation against Iran’s terrorist forces, both in Iran and across the Middle East.”

The situation in the ME is escalating fast enough without Trump being in the middle of it shouting off his mouth about it and turning it into a political football to get himself elected- Biden has a very complex situation to respond to that Trump helped create in the first place btw by supporting and enabling up to Netanyahu’s far right agenda. Yet again, he is cosying up to Netanyahu’s desire to drag the US into a war with Iran and yet again currying support from foreign leaders ahead of a general election. Trump’s foreign policy largely consisted of excoriating allies and cosying up to dictators specifically to boost his own political needs - A Trump presidency is the last thing the World needs purely on the grounds of foreign policy.

Someone needs to shut the man up.

You are in a cult. Classified documents were found in several insecure locations at his Florida Hotel. He lied about having them, claimed he'd given them all back when he hadn't, and moved boxes of them to different locations when advised of an authorised search the following day.

Do any of the Trump lovers on here think he would be good for the UK? If yes, how?

They were not chosen for their political allegiances, they were chosen to hear the evidence and then rule on whether what was alleged had occurred. They did so.

How on earth can you claim to support the rule of law when you decry every judgement that doesn’t follow your warped and evidence free assertions?

Your thinking is effectively “I like the guy, so he can’t have done anything wrong.”
In a nutshell.

No, I was alluding to the fact that Trump is palpably sexist by bragging about his 'activities' using this vernacular.

Do keep up at the back
Ha ha 😎

I did say you probably didn’t mean it how it sounded 🙂 I definitely don’t need reminding of Trump’s misogynistic record though - it was me that was reminding others that he was still elected despite of it just last week with a link to the Access to Hollywood tape:

'Locked them in a secure room'?? The ballroom was one of those, as was the shower/bathroom that was also being used as such. As well as being in a storage room accessible from the pool patio. And in a bedroom.....

you seem to ignore some documents are never declassifed and should, under their classification, never have left the whitehouse. his claims are an admission he did what he is accused of, you cant defend that with whataboutery.

Its not whataboutery if it concerns double standards. The issue is the same, no deflection.

Nope you are in a cult. He asked the NARA for more time to sort them out from his other stuff. He didn't do it post haste because others hadn't been prosecuted and he didn't realise their was an organised campaign to get him. Using the espionage act is over reach which gives the game away.

I have to say, the insightful and evidence based arguments offered by the Trump fanboys on here is really compelling.

It appears it is an election stealing Democrat conspiracy to silence a good old (not as old as Biden) American hero. Oh and the media, they are in on it too . . . And the courts, the law, the education system (probably) and all the wokies who think that sexual assault and grabbing women by the pussy is anything more than locker room banter.

Yep I am firmly convinced that Trump is the best man for the presidency.

He is being prosecuted over 60 pages which is less than a school text book. Your pictures prove the point it would have taken time to sift through all those boxes to find them, Seems at least 80 boxes there.

That's right, 60 pages! Doesn't even matter if it's less than 100 pages. There are loads of classified boxes there which makes the 60 pages harder to find. It's a smart bit of hiding from a guy smarter than all the other smart people.

It's a woke Democrat which hunt is all it is.
