That was better but I dont pay over £400 to watch us run the clock down on 75 mins

And somewhere in a parallel universe:

Great performance today against Oldham, shame about conceding the 2 late goals but we played well and kept going forward searching to add to Murray's strike.

exactly. i wasn't best pleased at the time, but we got the 3 points in then end and who's to say we wouldn't have conceded twice? The team's confidence at hanging on to leads can't be too brilliant

I'll settle for 75 mins of good entertainment and a goal lead for 15 mins of winding the clock down. To rephrase someones comment on here a while back - it's points not performances we need right now.

I thought the last 13 minutes were very entertaining in themselves. The referee was pissing himself laughing after Cox played the same trick on one of their defenders five or six times without being found out, then both fell to the ground and crawled on their knees after the ball. Quality entertainment right in front of the family stand.

I would muchprefer to see a professional approach like that at the end of the game rather than experience the disappointment of conceding late goals.

The one thing that did irritate a little was Cox throwing himself to the floor in search of a free kick - lucky not to be booked I thought.

Much rather see the ball being crossed into the box, than fiddle farting around by the corner flag. 1-0 up... the best way to protect a lead, is to increase it. IMHO

The best way for them to equalise is for us to pump high balls into the box for the keeper to gather and kick the length of the field. I do not agree with taking the ball into the corner as refs are against this now and invariably penalise the offending team with a free kick but they must keep possession of the ball rather than allow the opposition to punt the ball forward towards our goal.

It's not odd at all. I understand a number of people were disappointed by the deliberate time wasting. The boss even apologised for it.

I pay a lot of money each year and I expect to get an honest performance at the very least.

I don't think it was necessarily 'time wasting' but taking the pressure off the defence and midfield, as Oldham looked like they were going to cause us a few problems.

An interesting view. I would like to see some possession statistics on taking the ball into the corner, invariably conceeding possession and/or a free kick vs passing the ball and keeping possession in a more regular manner.
