What's that one with the weird Mum, who goes 'mmmmmMM, Justin Beiber'.

Is he 18? I don't know but whatever, a bit weird to have a 40+ year old woman lusting after a teen on an advert.

I had a friend years ago, whose Mum lusted for George Best. And this was about 1971 and he was then 22. Went to their house once, there was a huge portrait of George in the entrance hall. Weird.

I HATE christmas/new year.

Its COLD

Its DARK when you go to work and DARK when you come home

Last couple of years there has been SNOW. Which grinds us to a halt.

People rack up debt to buy presents for people they hardly know/see.

Relationships generally tend to end around xmas/new year.

Energy bills/credit card bills arrive early in new year.

NYE is ALWAYS overrated and overpriced.

Generally if you are being made redundant its always xmas/new yr time.

So tell me. Whats f***ing merry about it?

f*** ALL

Not quite as bad as some of those things you've mentioned, but my main Christmas pet hate is the cards, 99% of which are so monotonous, impersonal and quite simply pointless. 'To xxxx *printed message* From xxxx'. What's the point of that? What a waste of time, money, card and ink.

Mostly given to people who we couldn't give two fucks about, as well.

And what's the point of presents. Your wasting money on crap only to get crap back.
I love the time off over Xmas but I really can't stand the BS that comes with it.

Whoa there fella, lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I'm pretty shit at buying presents, so I reckon my turnover from received/sent puts me into a good profit.

My personal favourite:

'Mum' appears to have purchased an entire nervous breakdown's worth of cold branded goods in a pathetic bid to win the affections of her own family.

I like this one:

'What in gods name does "dad" have strapped to his wrist? If that's a D&G I'm praying for slippers this year.'
