Thai food is the best eat out or take away know to man!!!

Do they do English food? :thud:

Get yourself a Beef with Basil and Chilli, or a nice Chicken Green Curry! Failing that get the boring but safe option of Pad Thai.

Way out west
Go for a masaman (sic) fish curry, with sticky rice, absolutely gorgeous.

The last time I had one it was tuna, bloody brilliant...it was the only thing I could remember from a weekend in Amsterdam...hope that was the reason why my ring was stinging on the Sunday morning...

Don't be a cock, embrace Thai food.

Unlike 'english dishes' it's exiciting and will dance all over your tongue.

Be clear about what you don't like e.g. hot, chilies, spicy and you'll find on the menu a selection of dishes that, when accompanied by a Thai beer or two, will make your mouth sing with delight. T

Thai fish cakes are a safe starter, Pad Thai great to share on the side, duck red curry with glutinous rice fantastic.

brighton, actually
I didnt rate the thai buffet place, above the Duke pub (top of Islingword Road..)

the pub seemed cosy enough (big screen tv downstairs), but the 'restaurant' seemed to be just a bedroom with a makeover..

so-so starters, as if at a normal chinese (nothing wrong with that), then came some god awful fishcakes, with a gut melkting dip. ugh.

the main course was some sort of chicken soup (way to spicy for me), and either pork or beef and rice.

wish i'd gone for the steak option.

only good thing was the wine..

kaeng masaman nuea which translates to a robust, mild beef curry of the south, mage with mixed chilli paste, peanuts and herbs, in coconut milk.

Number 80 at Choc Dee up near Hove station. Incidently you can get the best bacon sandwhich and tea-in-polystyrene cup in the world from the cafe next to Hove station. This area is a little known cullinary hotspot.

The manager of the Black Chappati set up Mei Thai when the restaurant went. Now THAT is a Thai takeaway. Get the set menu for two for a gargantuan, tatsebud exploding treat.
