problem is he finds himself in this weird contract shit and few where willing to pay £20million+

it would have been much more fun if he'd gone to Liverpool.

have city contemplated buying any defenders?

might be an idea, unless they're going to play 2-3-5 formation

hughes must be getting mildly nervous about his job security

got nothing to do with the player or the club but gotEVRYTHING to do with the fact that City can stump up ALLthe CASH STRAIGHT AWAY and not mess around with instalment payments. Which is also why Liverpool lost out on GAreth Barry

Crap Town
there's more chance of me winning the next US presidential election than terry signing for city
According to the Sunday Mirror he has asked Abramovitch for permission to make enquiries of what is on the table , the lure of £250k a week might tempt him and Chelsea might not turn down a £40M+ bid.

Just gone for the money nothing else.
I don't think so. He always strikes me as a man that is only happy when involved with things. He wants football. Something no one else could give him. I think he is on a lot but I doubt that had much influence over him moving there.

According to the Sunday Mirror...

according to a columnists opinion in the Sunday Mirror. it was an interesting read and fair point - is Terry really that good? no. I reckon he's more likly just miffed they haven't given him the chance to talk to City and Chelsea have been miffed he hasnt ruled it out straight away.

sorry, i should've said "are they REALISTICALLY contemplating buying any defenders"

there's more chance of me winning the next US presidential election than terry signing for city

Assuming Obama stands again then, I guess you'll be up against Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin for the Republican nomination.

From where I'm standing, there's a very decent chance indeed of Terry going to City.

1) He's had a lot of stick lately for being one of the players who thinks he's bigger than Chelsea and whose manipulation behind the scenes got Scolari the sack.

2) Chelsea haven't won the title for a couple of seasons and are hardly splashing the cash to rectify that now

3) Hiddink has gone

4) £200,000+ per week

5) He's conspicuously remained silent throughout proceedings so far: looks to me like a player trying not to piss off the Chelsea fans by making it seem like he demanded a transfer, but instead attempting to force the issue on the quiet and then claiming the club didn't make him feel valued.

Overrated player anyway IMHO. A decent Premier League defender but stick him up against anyone truly world class and he's too one dimensional.
