With a team that finished 6th last season and finished the season flying under Poch (who initially struggled as much as Potter did ,took him ages to get going and had a lot more time to sort out the mess).

And let's not forget that the new England manager struggled for ages before he got sacked and that's the team that Potter inherited.

The levels people will go on here to get stuck in to Potter is ridiculous.

Would expect nothing less from you though, I see you've already moved onto Fabian as your next target
You mean the New England manager who won the champions league with Chelsea?

Honourable mention for us, over this time period superior to mega spending Spurs, Villa, Manure and Chelsea.

His position became untenable, pardon the pun, unfortunately.

Man U and their loyal followers showed amazing faith and patience with him, many lesser clubs would have sacked him and turned on him well before now.

The buck stops with him though, he had cruel luck with injuries and poor refereeing decisions but 14th place is not good for Man U not is it good for the Premier League brand.

Bit disappointed with this news. He's made watching Man U fun. Now there's some sort of chance of a positive bounce and they might become a serious football outfit. Boo.
Doubt it. They still haven't come out of Fergusons shadow. How many decent coaches have gone there and ruined their reputations. Liverpool, Arsenal, City are lightyears ahead. Even Villa and Chelsea are ahead of them!

According to 'in the know' Crookie on TS they allegedly spoke to RDZ Tuchel amongst others and they weren't keen on it!
It appears its Ruben Amorin to United
Is that Alec Crook? He knows his beans and is a HUGE Man U fan to boot.

Frank seems like a possibility or even Amorim
Amorim invited for talks apparently.

(I think the fans probably were rather keen on Tuchel)

Waiting for the Potterazi on NSC to
claim Potter turned them down because he’s picky - maybe he’s waiting for a Club South of the Watford Gap - has to be Palace doesn’t it? Surely Glasner is not much longer for this world unless things radically improve?

Nah, just sell them the data but don't show them how to analyse it.

If they had any sense they could have just bought the players we have scouted and developed. The self appointed biggest club in the world have been after a midfielder for years but haven't had the sense to buy one of ours.

A new manager is a plaster on a broken leg IMHO.

I see that Mr Cashworth hasn’t been mentioned on this thread yet.

Was Potter not a Cashworth man?

Brailsford met him last week, done deal according to TS.

If they genuinely are talking to Amorim, and it seems they are, he has recently taken a fallen giant back to league winning form. Albeit in a league that is frequently a two horse race.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Amorim in the PL, though I’d miss being able to be certain of three points each time we played them.
