Jesus, TVs have come down in price. Didn't realise how cheap they were these days. Shame important stuff like food hasn'tYou can’t go wrong imho with a Samsung Smart TV
Deal of the day: Samsung 43 Inch AU7020 UHD HDR 4K Smart TV (2023) - Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV With HDR Picture, Adaptive Sound Lite, PurColour Colour Technology & Q-Symphony Sound - Compatible With Alexa https://amzn.eu/d/4JI2yjv

There's a third one. Reicher Sounds are good.Given it's HT asking, I think he'll need to go to Johan Lewiß or Currywurst's...
p.s. HT - truly, honestly, consider a larger TV unless your room is sehr klein. Definitely get one which is 4K resolution and ideally one which is HDR (essentially able to accurately show very bright and very dim things at the same time) using either OLED or QLED screen construction - I have a Samsung QLED screen and was LITERALLY blown away by watching the sunrise over the plains on an Attenborough documentary.
They offer a warranty that lasts a thousand years. There's a third one. Reicher Sounds are good.
We have an LG TV from 2008, still going strong plus an LG DVD player from 2009. We bought a new 43" smart LG in 2021 for the Olympics and it has been brilliant, we mainly use it for Netflix/iPlayer such apps. A good choiceRight, we need a tv. Or to be more precise the wife wants a tv. We haven’t owned one for years and we/I have no idea about these things. The only criteria is it’s approx 42 inch and we don’t want to spend a fortune; not interested in extra sound-bars etc. I’d like it to look minimal and modern so it fits with everything else.
I am not interested in using it but if I can cast my iPad and watch Albion games I might; this is a nice to have.
Go do your stuff NSC.
I have found a nice looking stand though.
Jokes aside, whenever their name comes up I have to share my love for Richer Sounds. Absolutely exemplary company and I buy all my tech from them as a matter of principle. Never known anyone have a bad experience with them, quite apart from their profit sharing, ethical trading and accommodating things like paternity leave. Truly progressive and a credit to British business. There's a third one. Reicher Sounds are good.
This could be the final solution. There's a third one. Reicher Sounds are good.
Excuse my ignorance but would this LG be similar? I really don't understand all these OLED or ONED symbols. This is available from my local Carrefour.

I’ve had a Panny plasma that I got new for £375 about 11 years ago and, apart from a bit of screen burn from too much FIFA, still works beautifully. Sure, it costs about 11p/kwh rather than 2-3p/kwh like more modern tech, and it isn’t 4K, but it does the job still.Worth looking at second hand TV's if you're on a budget. I picked up a very decent 42" Panasonic with no issues for £20 on facebook marketplace not long ago, had to shop around a bit though.
Yep. Michael Franti, later of the brilliant Spearhead (Home is still one of my favourite albums)Bloody hell, that takes me back. Disposable Heroes of HipHopcrosy wasn't it?
I have an LG 55inch, cost €530. I could have got it €10 cheaper from Amazon.de but they wanted €80 for delivery (to Portugal).Second vote for LG. I have a lot of tech in my house and the Most reliable of all of it has been the LG stuff. Something like this? https://www.currys.co.uk/products/lg-43lq60006la-43-smart-full-hd-hdr-led-tv-10254941.html

Yes, but it was The BeatNigs originally….his earlier band. I think I had this on 12” before I foolishly sold all my records.Bloody hell, that takes me back. Disposable Heroes of HipHopcrosy wasn't it?
Still got mine! Recently unearthed that one amongst a stack of other vinyl all from dark storage places, inherited my brother's albums too. Get very nostalgic in my hut at the end of the garden. No idea why I thought Tackhead were any good - but others really stood the test of time.Yes, but it was The BeatNigs originally….his earlier band.
