I am under 30 and because of a Dentist Mistake I have lost 5 teeth around my mouth Granted one or two were my fault (I am a genuine fear of the dentist). However I was going through a lot of pain in my mouth for a while and the dentist failed to spot i had an abcess and just prescribed anti-biotics and said that should clear anything up. 2 weeks later; bye bye teeth (3 together) and it really sucks.

I don't deserve it, brush my teeth 3 times a day (30 mins after every meal) floss, mouthwash etc. my teeth are sparkling clean. Visit a dental hygeinist every 6 months for the past year for a deep clean.

Yet this happens. Its f***ing horrible; I don't deserve it

Now £995 an implant. GAH.

That's a pity - personally I haven't been to a dentist for 25 years, I look after my pearlies but I don't trust the the prodding b'tards and my gnashers are fine.

not been to a dentist in 8 years........clove when toothache, and brush with saraken, and eat little sugar.

you boys keep brushing with flouride.....toxic poison that is illegal to put in a river or stream.


dentists create issues to do work.......why? err, to get money to pay for their bills.

I feel your pain, I was butchered by the dentist as a kid - ended up not seeing one for best part of 20 years. Ended up having 12 removed in one session just under a year ago, the worst part was is remembering when he had a problem with 1 particular root which he drilled too far and went into my upper jaw - odd when I was sedated at the time yet still felt it and heard the drill going into the bone

If he failed to spot your abcess, then why did he give you antibiotics? That's what they were for, but abcesses are notorious for not responding to antibiotics. I was in dreadful pain for a whole weekend when given antibiotics on a Friday which didn't work, and had to have a tooth removed on the Monday which was the only way to treat it. I didn't have an implant but a root canal filling and crown which was a cheaper option.

Doctors and Dentists seem to dish out Antibiotics willy nilly nowadays.
