You might want to specify exactly what this " old phone " is to get some sensible and helpful replies.

If it's a phone with a camera, presumably it has internet access so he can email them or upload wherever he wants.

Any chance the phone has a memory card slot the photos could be transferred to? What’s the make and model?

A usb Infrared dongle can be bought for less than £5 on eBay but you’d need the right software etc

I have no idea, to be honest. Does it have a memory slot or anything ? Maybe he's getting confused with another Nokia he has!

If your mates phone is that old, you could try a seance.

When I come to power such responses will result in banning and execution!

Looking at the specs for that phone and and any pictures on it will be ultra low res pixelated blobs. Easiest way to get them off is pop a working SIM card in and text them to someone.
