Tech Help. Google Chrome: Shockwave Flash Plug in crash.

For about a week I've been getting this error message on Google Chrome...

"The following Plugin has crashed: Shockwave Flash"

The upshot is that I can't play videos from newspaper reports, forums etc.

It doesn't seem to happen on Explorer or Firefox but I like Chrome and I don't want to knock it on the head.

Have Googled the problem and it seems it is happening to lots of people but I haven't seen a definitive fix for the problem.

Any tips?

been googling for months to try and find a solution to this ... at present have flash disabled in the plug-ins but thats a sledgehammer to crack a nut really.
