What a lot of bollocks.

More like some players brought in not being up to it

True, watched Notts Co v Bradford and v Dagenham today, bar two players it was a completely new starting eleven from last season, they're still 'Gelling',

notts 5-0 brad

notts 3-0 dag

results speak for themselves, if brighton win it cud turn a corner, but its only gonna get worse while they're losing

'Gelling' is this season's meaningless buzzword. 'Gelling' is supposed to happen during pre-season, during which we looked an unfit uncoordinated shambles throughout. Ask any Crawley player.

We are a million miles from a settled line-up so how the hell can we gel?
We've got injuries, suspensions, players returning from operations, trying to get match fit and players who have hardly played at all, trying to fit in.
A manager, who doesn't yet know his strongest formation and any number of players making unforced errors.
It is a mixture of mis-management, bad luck and a lack of edge amongst the players.
Early season optimism has given way to the stark reality that we are, at present, a shambles. The manager is already under pressure and we have already gifted 6 pts to opposition at Withdean, who could be fighting relegation with us.
You only gel when you are a tight unit, playing consistently and as error free as possible.

Hard to see how the team can gel when very few of the fans could pick half the players out of a police line-up anymore. Suspect the players must feel the same.

You need your most influential player in the middle of midfield. We haven't had a player good enough for that role in years. Central midfielders should be the busiest players, but I barely ever notice Crofts or Navarro. Even in 20 minutes Dicker showed the sort of quality and involvement we require. I've said it before and I'll say it again, but until we sort this position out we're going NOWHERE. I'm impressed by signings in other areas, but in this important area they've been disastrous.

100% agree!

The atmosphere, ground, conditions etc etc are the same for both teams.

Except that our lot have to put up with all of that every other week, not once a season. And opposing managers have all ready stated that the atmosphere generated by our fans (ie. getting on the teams back when it's not going well) actually helps the visiting team. So I think the Withdean Factor is a valid a point acting against us. And a part of that can be rectified by some half decent performances and a few wins, it's not a lot to ask is it?
And I'm sorry but getting 2 players sent off, missing a penalty and losing at home 2-4 to a very mediocre team following a 7-1 thrashing may be exciting to some but it's not my idea of enjoyment.

but the away team, is probably saying, hah u have to play at this shithole every other week, we only have to once a year. We've played better at other ppls grounds the past few seasons than at home (surely not just down to coincidence).
