Like him but he IS infuriating and a lot of people seem to forget how hot and cold he is.

I agree with you about the hot and cold aspect of his game but on his day I have no doubt that he can be a match winner and good enough for the Premiership. Let's hope that if Gus decides to play him tonight he has one of his better days.

I would play Vicente and rest Buckley. His injury record means Buckers is the player we need to look after, and I would like to see him fresh to give Konchesky the run around on Saturday.

Kuszczak
Calderon - Greer - Upson - Bridge
Bridcutt
Lopez - Orlandi
Vicente - Ulloa - LuaLua

Subs
Brezovan, El Abd, Dicker, Hammond, JFC, Buckley, Barker.

PS The flair in that front 5 is scary!

Kaz was taken off at halftime vs Forest. Gus wasn't happy at all with our performance in the first half of Forest match, for this reason I think Kaz will be on the bench tonight. Vicente could start IMO

Calde = Greer= Upson = Bridge
Bridders
Spainish Dave = Orlandi
Buckers ============== Lualua
Ulloa

Subs - Brez, El Abd, Bruno, Hammond, Crofts, Vicente, Barnes.

Thats a cracking idea! Then if we win we can give the 3 points back to the FA and also have another 3 points taken off for naming a suspended player in the squad.

Lua Lua wasted in the starting line up IMO.
Would rather see Vicente, also think we should rest either SD or Orlandi.

Although due to playing Saturday and Gus' love of a good tinker. Wouldn't be surprised to see Buckley, Greer, Bridge rested.
So after a 2 week break where Gus was able to go to Barbados and I'm sure the rest of the squad went to Spain, for one reason or another, you want to rest players?

As much as I understand the KLL sentiment, I think he's even more wasted in his cameo performances.
He seems to take an hour to get up to speed or the get the measure of the full back, then it's game on for the last third.
Gus must want to play Vicente tonight. If he doesn't play him tonight, at home, when does he play him ?
We need to get used to the fact we have a squad of players good enough to leave Vicente out.
Hard to believe, I know.

We are well used to him being left out .......... I just think with the games again coming thick and fast and following a physically draining game on Saturday this must be a game where Gus will start him.

I'm guessing very few people on this thread saw Gus's after-match comments on Player about why he shouldn't be playing a too attack-minded formation.

Hammond will start tonight, I reckon. He's made strong hints about that.

Well the guys talking out of his backside, and knows nothing :lolol:

I on the other hand have 50p riding on Calde to score first and us winning 6-0, at 4000/1.

Brighton - In your face
Because today has to be the first time this season, when the team picks itself.

We are playing at home and need a win, sound familiar?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
We all know the team for tonight, it's up to them to bring it home.

I don't think we can have all 36 in a team so it's best left to the manager I reckon.

Sad part for me is how does El Abd get back in the starting 11? Great servant to the club but he's going to struggle to get back in during the run, guess that's good from the clubs perspective and for competition?

I've been liking our more attacking line ups recently, and with Bridcutt and Kuszczak hopefully back we could play (in my opinion) our strongest team.

-----------------Kuszczak-----------------

Calderon------Greer------Upson------Bridge

------------------Bridcutt-----------------

Buckley------Lopez-----Vicente------Orlandi

------------------Ulloa---------------------

Subs: Brezovan, El-Abd, Hammond, Crofts, Barker, JFC, LuaLua

I would swap Vicente and Hammond and start with Hammond to control the game, using Buckley to break with Ulloa as per the 2nd half at Forest. Get our nose in front then bring on Vicente etc and go for the throat and more goals, but seal the 3 points first.
