Right, so AJ, our LEAST effective forward, in place of AK, our MOST effective!! Un-****ing-believable...

Does your response have to be so aggressive, I mean all I have done is given MY opinion on an Albion fansite. Having only been watching the Albion a few years I acknowledge I should bow to other people's judgement and fall in line with the general agreement, perish the thought I'd wish to make my own mind up.

Exactly. If you talk badly about Knockeart people will come for you. Praise Ali J or Locadia and people will come for you. Its a FORUM... we can express OUR opinion.

It's more to do with attitude than who's playing for me. Tell you what, let's advance the back 4 10 yards up the pitch and get in their faces ,instead of sitting off and marking space. it's what we did for the last 5 minutes at Spurs, so we can do it.

Please excuse my aggression, but it is so blindingly obvious that we might as well write-off the win we so desperately need if CH picks that waster AJ yet again... I wouldn't say it is like playing with 10 men because AJ does work for the team, but he has about as much penetration as a soggy biscuit attempting to pass through a brick wall...

So do I BW but i fear that CH will stick with the 433/451 thing that clearly we have struggled with. I just hope we start fast, move the ball quickly etc and don't try and play on the break. I know we are essentially a defensive side but we were a defensive side earlier this season and last and still looked like we would create a few chances.....
That said I'm going for 1-1!

I don't think we'll score if Murray plays either. He's looked desperately slow now - wonder if other teams have finally twigged that you just need to keep him more than 7 yards away from the goal and he's ineffective.

If you used a hard biscuit like say a ginger nut it might be possible to push it through a wall where the cement had yet to set. However any sort of soggy biscuit would as you say be impossible to penetrate a wall with even if the said wall was very newly laid. In any event you would need some sort of implement to push the biscuit through the wall assuming the sand and cement were still wet and you would need to take into account the potential damage you may do to the wall if a ginger nut were allowed to stay in the wall after the cement had dried, that is assuming that you were unsuccessful in the attempt to push the biscuit completely through the wall. Plenty to think about IMHO.

.... and that's the value I see in him, winning the ball and distribution, penetration isn't as good as it could be but I think he's a good player. It should be noted I was a huge fan of Tony Towner and some disagreed! :thumbsup:

——————Ryan————————
Bruno—Duffy——— Dunk—Bernardo
—————————————————
Knockaert—Kayal—Stephens—March
————————Gross——————-
————————Andone——————

Subs
Button
Balogun
Burn
Bissouma(Pröpper)
Izquierdo
Locadia
Murray

This for me.
Risky, as both Andone and Knockaert could easily be sent off. But we NEED a goal from somewhere and I see those two + Kayal as the most likely to actually get one. Or make one happen. Bissouma seems like a good impact sub and Murray/Locadia to pile on when we are desperate...

If by some miracle we do get a goal at any point, then Balogun and Burn straight on to give us a six man defence!

Bit depressing that CH has never, despite this awful run, gone back tot the 442 that worked so well for us in the Championship with Andone in the Baldock role. Some actual genuine support for Murray would be very welcome. I don't mean trying it when we are 2/3-0 down either, but from the start. Show some intent and put the opposition under some pressure rather than ourselves all the time

You are absolutely correct of course, but every time AJ plays poorly (which to be fair has been almost every game), it somehow comes round to being down to Knockaert!??

Sorry, what do you mean?

Every time AJ has played poorly, his supporters have come on NSC, stating it is as a result of Knockaert:

- not passing to him;
- taking set pieces;
- running into AJ’s space;
- not being willing to rotate wings during the game;
- starting in AJ’s position;
- not liking AJ.....

I think I’ve captured most of the excuses and anti-Knockaert rhetoric that have been stated....

Just an observation.

According to Andy Naylor-
Team prediction.
Albion (4-4-1-1): Ryan; Bruno, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo (or Bong); Knockaert, Stephens, Bissouma (or Kayal), March; Gross; Murray. #bhafc
If AK doesn't start then March right, Jose left.

As long as the wingers actually attack and Gross supports Murray up the pitch I'm happy enough with that. Kayal would be preferable than Bissouma to start though

ah, well its no ones position so that's just stupid lol. I do agree with the whole not passing thing but it's not just to Ali J... Imo Knockaert is a selfish player that's looking for self glory which has been said here before. I dont think any of Ali J's shortcomings this season have had to do with Knockaert! Hopefully he has a better season next year!

Yes, and whilst I think he has been poor and has a lot to prove, I honestly believe he’ll turn it round.

He came late to pre-season training, had to hit the ground running at a much higher and intense level. Then picked up an injury, then lost further momentum by having to play in the Asia cup. Now is having to play catch up in a struggling team.

Really not an easy start IMO.
