I think the team selection for this game will possibly tell a lot about the future of certain players.

If the likes of CMS, Buckley and Bridcutt are going to be sold then playing them will Cup Tie them for their potential new clubs.

So it will be a good indication of how far any deals have been done!

But as far as us, the fans are concerned the best possible side should be put out!

not at 30 quid a frigging ticket. I want full team and nothing less

So you care more about the price of a ticket instead of injuries?

I don't think the price of the ticket is that bad considering its on TV and the team we are playing. You can pay more than that for a league game.

I should think very unlikely Buckley would be risked bearing in mind he's coming back from injury. Would like to see JFC and Dobbie get a start with Vicente getting a run out in last 20.

This is the FA cup, with decent prize money for progressing and a large TV audience; it's not a tinpot competition just because Man Utd and Chelsea might not put their best XI out in the first (third) round. Adding the fact that Newcastle are in poor form and we have a realistic chance of another upset this year means that it would be mad to field anything less than our best possible team.

A good point. I don't think there'll be many changes from the weekend. With a week until the next game, there's no reason to change things much. We haven't really got a single player that's so important they can't be risked.

If we were to force a replay at St. James' Park, the club would need to produce a new away shirt.

Not at all relevant to the team selection, but an interesting thought.

Definately same team as Tuesday although I reckon if Bruno of Calderon are fit they'll be back in for Lopez.

Definately go with the startng 11 from Ipswich. One of the best performances ive seen from CMS he actually looked close to being a £3m striker, Barnes played well and by the end of the match we definatley had a swagger to our play which was a joy to watch. What better way to get some momentum going than getting a Prem League scalp in the cup?. Newcastle may be scoring goals but their defence is pretty weak at the moment. Hatem Ben Arfa and Cabaye both still out injured and Demba Ba possibly sold/being sold Cisse is very dangerous but i think Newcastle will have Prem League survival in mind and wont be too bothered about the FA cup at the moment. Of course could be completley wrong!!.

players want to play end of. players get injured in training as well as games but they will still train this week. We have just won and won well, winning breeds confidence, defeats set you back, why change it

Surely they would just play the Green/Black strip but with the green shorts/socks? I see your point though about the black stripes. I would not be at all dissapointed if we got a draw at the Amex, i've always wanted to go to St James' Park. Although i would also like us to win and then get a Man City/Arsenal/Chelski away day.

Newcastle are not on form at all and they're now without Ba, Simpson, Cabaye, Anita, Steven and Ryan Taylor as well as Ben Arfa.

No question at all in my mind that this is a game we should be going out with a view to win. Equally it's a great start to "kick start" a couple and give a couple some much needed experience/time.

So I'd start all of Dobbie, Hoskins and Dunk with JFC and March on bench
