Team for Leeds

Leeds away is one of the toughest fixtures of the season. I'd be happy with a point, score an early goal and park the bus leading to the inevitable gaps at the back for Leeds so we score a few on the counter. 3-0

If everybody is fit, then I'd be very surprised at any changes. Murray / Hemed rotation a possibility, I guess. Bruno is obviously a doubt though.

I think the same side, but I think Bruno might have to miss this one. Better to have him fit for the last part of the season, than risk him in this one, and make it worse.

Agreed. The 8 games after the International break are more important than just this one.

Another vote for unchanged unless Bruno is unfit, in which case Tomori on the right.

Not so sure. Pocognoli is apparently 'close' to a return, and Adekugbe now fully fit. I'd play either of those ahead of Tomori - on the left of course, with Rosenior switching across.

I'd go unchanged if Bruno is fit.

Although I think Tomori is more than capable of filling in, I wonder whether someone like Sidwell could offer cover in that position if we're really struggling for cover? He's experienced, tactically astute, physical, and can see a pass. A bit like a budget, ginger version of James Milner for Liverpool...

I can't help thinking that the Forest result might have been a bleesing in disguise and that Chris will have us set up just right. Unchanged team please (Bruno permitting)

Despite what the collective hive mind of NSC would have us believe, 3 teams winning out over the next 28 games, ain't happening.
Teams are going to lose.

The question is:-

How are Newcastle, Huddersfield & the Albion going to react to a defeat, or two?

Huddersfield are yet to be properly tested.
Newcastle are about to find out what they are made of.
The Albion have back to back wins after back to back defeats.

For this team to get it's arse handed to them by Forest, FOREST!, then come back and strangle Derby sent out a message.

Losing to Leeds won't be the end of the world.
Winning there may well be down to the team still smarting at their performance in Nottingham.

I'd also (especially pre-Forren) been considering emergency defenders. Reckon Sidwell and Norwood are too slow to play full-back, and that Stephens or Kayal would concede a LOT of dangerous free kicks. Skalak, would be reasonably well equipped, if it came to it.

However, the OBVIOUS one, should we need a midfielder to do a job, is RICHIE TOWELL. He was a specialist right back in his early career at Celtic / Hibernian, only reinventing himself as an attacking midfielder when he returned to the LOI.

Agree with this. No other options should really be considered.

Adekugbe is fit, is a natural left back and was considered worthy of a start before his injury. Absolutely worthy of consideration.

Has he played for U23s etc in recent weeks? (Genuine question - trying to ascertain match fitness).

Don't know - just going by Hughton' comments that he is fit. (I am making an assumption, that he didn't mean 'hot'...)
