He was fit then he had a very minor injury which put him out for a week. Now he's unfit. Please explain it to me ?!
You're using words like "very minor injury" and "unfit" for a start. We as fans have no idea how serious injuries are. Using our understanding of said injuries to decide when they're likely to be back is always guesswork.

On your first point, what do wages have to do with it? I don't think their wages make them immune to injury

I think it's going to be this, but with Adingra on the left rather than Mitoma. It won't hurt Kaoru to make an impact off the bench in a shorter spell rather than starting again. It would be good to see Gruda get some minutes off the bench to replace Minteh so there's a natural option on the right, because Adingra is very much a left winger who for convenience has played a lot on the right.
You're all on drugs...... bench Mitoma for Minteh, seriously?

Mitoma travelled more miles than any of our other players during the international break, the time to rest him was probably LAST weekend.
I've noticed a dangerous trend building on here this week - Mitoma is not what he was for us.
Never mind he'd been back in the country less than 72 hours, Ipswich literally had 2 sometimes 3 players on him and were defending their own penalty box not even their own half, that Hinch is not a natural LB so offensively didn't help him at all, that Pedro was missing and Rutter seems to naturally lean to playing more down the right.
No instead let's start questioning one of the best attacking players we have EVER seen in the stripes because for one game he didn't beat 4 men 8 times and get 2 goals and 4 assists. FML.

What’s peoples thoughts?

———————- Verbruggen ——————-
Veltman — Dunk —- Van Hecke — Kadioglu
—————- Ayari —— Baleba ——————
Adingra —-——— Pedro ————- Mitoma
—————-——- Welbeck ————————

Probably a little harsh on Hinshelwood but IMO he’s not a right or left back.

Minteh is an exciting option from the bench but Adingra deserves a start.

Be interesting to see who actually makes the bench with Wieffer and Pedro likely to be involved after missing out last week.
Can see that with Hinsh in place of Ayari.

The only thing I might argue with is that Adingra is better on the left and Mitoma has blown hot and cold. I wouldn't be that upset if Mitoma was rested, Adingra was played on the left and Minteh (yes, I know) kept his place on the right. If things weren't working, Mitoma on for Minteh and Adingra switching flanks is then an option.

Naaah. While I agree Adingra overall is slightly better on the left, we were very dangerous last season with Mitoma on the left drawing attention and Adingra getting the space to pull off his clinical shooting from the right side. He scored 5 out of his 6 PL goals when playing on the RW.

Mitoma is going to start the game unless he is injured. We're not giving a keyplayer a two week vacation one month into the season, that's not happening. Should be fit and hungry given he was rested yesterday.

Ha ha ..... It's less drugs (i'm not sure many on here take anything stronger than Werthers original these days), and more a recognition that Adingra is in sparkling form and his best position is on the left.

We're like Real Madrid basically, trying to find a way to accommodate Vinicius Jnr and Mbappe.

Tough decisions will needed this season. I went for Adingra on the left and Ferdi on the RW

Mine too.
I'd like to start Weiffer, who looks more the finished article than Ayari (who's been excellent) but it's sensible to ease him in.
I don't believe, despite that clearance, that Jack at full back is ever more than filling in. His future's elsewhere, surely

Well he's been back. He played last 2 games. I guess it's not a fitness thing then it's an Injury thing. Just seems that our players have the longest lay offs for trivial matters that I can ever remember. Are we too over cautious now? Guess we will never know

Werthers dipped in LSD
Adringa in 'sparkling form' against Wolves B? You know he gave the ball away cheaply for their goal on 44 mins?
I've been saying for a while I'd quite like Mitoma and Adringa to swap wings sometimes, especially during games.
Mitoma is one of the first names on the teamsheet.
I'd start both on Sunday.

Hmm, i'll consider the idea
Adringa in 'sparkling form' against Wolves B? You know he gave the ball away cheaply for their goal on 44 mins?

Alright, but a lot had to happen after that. He was deep in their final third. Simon is clearly playing very well and scoring goals

Pretty sure you'll find there's some ancient by law about Kauru never being able to venture to the right side of a football pitch
Mitoma is one of the first names on the teamsheet.

He is. And should be. But I just think, given our attacking riches, I don't think anyone is safe if they drop off in form for a period of time. I'm totally prepared to concede this isn't the case here. More accurately, Simon is pressing him strongly for that spot
I'd start both on Sunday.
I think it's very likely the manager will agree with you

I agree it would be good to see Adingra on the left for some of the match on Sunday. He’d then be up against Aina who he destroyed in the AFCON final.
