I'd play Oldham Athletic.

If we try and play anyone else - the league are likely to frown upon us.

Pethick or Watson?

I reckon Pethick.

And, just maybe... Harding on the bench.

Nobody ever drops Watson.

I cant see it happening, much as I'd like it to. people who say pethick was awful at rb, well, perhaps coppell has changed that, he made mayo div1 standard so anything is possible

But it's a thought, boz.

We're in the north west. Why don't we all go along to Burnley instead? We had a good start there last season and they've got a piss-poor match coming up on Saturday. So they'd probably welcome us with open arms.

I'd fancy us against Burnley, m'Lord. They're going down this season.

Turkey's side looks about right, perhaps with Pethick instead of Watson.

Unfortunately Watson will start. I think Hinsh may be replaced by Pethick but hope not.

Shame Piercy isnt fit, I would have rather seen him start than Jones.

At work - probably
Yeah I would like to see Pirecy and Harding given a go and surely Robbie would be better at right back than Watto?? - or will Watto be back to his best this year? Sounds like everyone wants Hinsh to be given a go and Jolly, Danny, Chippy and the two loan rangers are dead certs to start as his OGH and Danny C and Stevie C seems to prefr Ben Roberts so it looks like

GK Roberts
RB Pethick (Imho)
CB Danny
CB Hinsh
LB Kerry (if fit - if not Jonah - who has played well in pre-season)
RM OGH
CM Chippy
CM Jolly
LM Jonah (although I would like Piercy or Harding to be given a go)
CF Henderson
CF Little Leon

Subs (From)
Kuipers
Oatway
Piercy
Butters
Watto
McPhee (Deserves a chance soemwhere in the squad)
Harding
Wilson-Denis

Is this a wish list or a 'think this is going to happen' list? 'Coz I've a feeling he'll stick with Butters at centre half;

GK: Roberts
LB: Mayo
CB: Cullip
CB: Butters
RB: Watson
LM: Jones
CM: Rodger
CM: Carpenter
RM: Hart
CF: Knight
CF: Henderson

Not saying I'd pick Butters (though I get behind whoever's picked), but I think he'll be in there.

Watson was superb last time out in Division and created/scored a good number of goals. Robbie Pethick isn't going to do that. That's why I saw Watson. Give Watson the chance to get back to his best and if he is disapointing we have good back up.

Hinshelwood was outstanding against Leicester and has better physical attributes than Pethick. So he starts.

Choose Harding over Marney on the bench because Leon Knight can go right wing if needed. So we don't need another option on the right. Harding could be more useful as he's left sided.

I didn't realise Knight was also a right-winger. That is useful because it means Coppell can tinker with the side without really disrupting it by simply swapping Hart and Knight as he sees fit.
