Good luck guessing everybody, because POTTER doesn’t even know his best starting 11 yet and it’s January

let alone formation!

I think Bissouma needs a run in the side. I’m a huge Stephens fan, but I think we really needed Bissouma’s energy and forward drive in midfield yesterday.

I’ve seen a few people saying Mooy should play as part of a front three. For me he’s best as the most advanced of a midfield three, where he can find pockets of space and carry the ball forward.

Only issue for me is the wide two positions, with two of AJ, Trossard, Gross and Alzate. I’ll go with:

——————-Ryan————-——
Montoya—Duffy—Dunk—Bernardo
———Bissouma—Propper———-
——Gross-—Mooy—Trossard——
——-———-Maupay——————

Very harsh on Alzate, who I also think needs to be in the team. But Bissouma plays for the reasons above, and Gross is in as he’s always the source of our best chances. AJ to come off the bench if/when we need more width.

Ryan
Montoya - Webster - Dunk - Bernardo
Propper - Bissouma
Alzate/AJ - Mooy - Trossard
Maupay

Has to be our best line up right now

Just about yes. I think I'd start

Propper Alzate

AJ Bissouma Mooy

Maupay

With sideways, Trossard Gross and Connolly waiting in the wings.

It might be interesting, could be Shyte . . . .a poll for 11 players from 20 odd and see who makes the team at 7pm tue.

Vs what potinker chooses.

It would get hijacked though !

How about the starting XI that beat Bournemouth with Bernardo replacing the injured Burn. Surely they would all have the confidence to beat Bournemouth as they did a few weeks ago.

I'd start with Murray and play him till he drops and then bring on AJ.

So all the Alzate bashing comes from sitting in your armchair at home and not actually watching games?

No, Villa is the first home game that I have missed at The Amex. If watched on a stream provided t doesnt lag I would suggest that you get a truer picture than being at The Amex in person either in Upper West at the back or NorthStand.
