I think Sullivan should play, there's no better game to 'blood' him in the 1st team or will Wilkins just wait for Kuipers to be injured then hunt for a loan keeper again?

I think Butts, Hammond & Cox are in need of a rest. I certainly think Elder needs to start a game.

I believe the rule states that 6 first teamers have to PLAY (not necesarilly start). So we could start with 3 and bring 3 on for example. Sullivan has to play imho.

The reserves have got a home game against Millwall on Wednesday, so for some it would be two games in two nights?

Has that fixture been moved forward then? As i had it down as being played in febuary on my fixture list on Word from the football league website. Its now on the FL website as wednesday, unless it was a mistake when i copied it down at the beginning of the season.

Might pop along to that then.

I didn't realise it was this Wednesday until I heard it on the tannoy as we were leaving Withdean. I then checked the fixture list for the reserves and it was there. Like you, I thought it was later in the season.

Need to be careful because someone in our league was fined despite winning in the 1st round with fringe players.

Butters is out anway. I think Fraser, Rents and Martot are certanties will be back in the squad. Hart's still injured isnt he?

Whing El-Abd Elphick Richards

I love the fact that between the above, the teams selected include Butters, Reid, Hinshelwood and Lynch - none of who are fit to play according to the club.

Reid they could possibly push back in, but you'll not see any of the others. For this game there are plenty of stand in CBs available anyway to play with Elphick. Choose from El-Abd [if you must], Mayo [been at CB for reserves], Fraser [played mostly at CB for yoof], Whing [MASSIVE at CB at Millwall last year], Cox [only joking].

As for the 6 first teamers rule -do you remember one of the home games last year [Northampton?] when their forward started the game, to meet the ruling, then went off 'injured' after about 2 minutes!?

Abort, retry, fail
But NSC knows better than the manager Hans. :D

It was MK Dons and Mad Dog pulled off ( :glare: ) Izale McLeod after about 10 minutes with a mystery 'injury'. I think they got fined anyway, as they stretched the rules too far.

Bit of a shite competition if the only clubs that make any sort of profit are those that reach the final and you are forced to play first teamers in what is already a long season! This wouldn't happen to a 'big club' competition!
