One of the few positives on a bad night. I thought he was outstanding, back to his very best.
Agreed, I thought he was a positive. Him and Adingra worked so hard and tried to be positive every time they had the ball. He’s actually been good every time he’s played this season, it’s great to see, I’d written him off as a first teamer for us in the summer. One of the few positives on a bad night. The colossal strapping on his leg might have something to do with itIt’s interesting that, for whatever reason, RdZ just doesn’t seem to fancy Veltman
Yeah i'd put that one down to injury recovery at the moment. It’s interesting that, for whatever reason, RdZ just doesn’t seem to fancy Veltman
The one that fizzed across the goal about a yard out? Don’t think it’s his fault no-one got on the end of it imo.He was alright but when he got in behind right at the end and passed to no one was really infuriating.
Had loads of time to pick someone out for a simple finish.
I need to see a replay but live he appeared to play it into an area (where no one was) despite having loads of time to get his head up and pick someone out.The one that fizzed across the goal about a yard out? Don’t think it’s his fault no-one got on the end of it imo.

The only player available to pick out was Welbeck. No one else was in support. He was alright but when he got in behind right at the end and passed to no one was really infuriating.

On another day, Welbeck could have had a hat-trick.The only player available to pick out was Welbeck. No one else was in support.
Joel is a safe pair of hands for sure, but offers little to nothing as far as an attacking option is concerned. RDZ loves his wing backs, and both Tariq and Pervis excel in that role. It’s interesting that, for whatever reason, RdZ just doesn’t seem to fancy Veltman
Unfortunately the same could have been said about Lukaku too.On another day, Welbeck could have had a hat-trick.
Given how many goals are we conceding might not be a bad optionJoel is a safe pair of hands for sure, but offers little to nothing as far as an attacking option is concerned. RDZ loves his wing backs, and both Tariq and Pervis excel in that role.
He did the right thing there. If he had tried pulling it back, there were Roma defenders between him and our attackers. The ideal thing in that situation is to play it into the space that the attackers should be running into to try and get on the end of such a ball.. I think this is part of our problem - we wait for a bit more overplaying and passing to feet, and don't go for the obvious.I need to see a replay but live he appeared to play it into an area (where no one was) despite having loads of time to get his head up and pick someone out.
