Talk Sport and Talk Radio the Sun, owned by Murdoch. Another example why we need to clamp down on cross media ownership.Listening to Talksport is bit like reading Daily Mail, which I don't do for the same reason I don't drink out the toilet.
Nice to know that we are often featured then.As usual it’s a station with a bias towards top 6
Pretty much the same for me. I used to listen to it all the time about 5-years ago, but they've just filled it up with ex-footballers with no broadcasting talent other than provoking fans to call in on their expensive ££-per-minute phone lines. It's a perfect counter-argument to Merson's relentless "VAR should be ex-pro footballers"I will listen to Max Rushden's shows on the weekend if I happen to be driving but swerve everything else.
Agreed. Jordan is a 'guilty pleasure' of sorts as he is at least interesting and opinionated, carries a lot of inside knowledge to back up his assertions, and will challenge other people's opinions robustly if he thinks they're talking bobbins. But he dunnalf love the sound of his own voice.I have to admit I really do like listening to Simon Jordan, really thought he was going to be an absolute bell end, but he doesn't care what he say's or who he upsets, Jim White on the other hand is just cringe.
Used to work with Paul Hawksbee in the 1990s. Funny then, funny now. Lovely man.Hawksbee & Jacobs for me is the only show I listen to on there
And not when Hawksbee is on holiday
oh no, I forgot about the Sunday morning show with Henry Winter. That is worth listening to
Rushden and Baker/Barry. Utterly brilliant radio. Feels very out of place on ShoutSport. Just fun and entertaining. Such a shame it's not released as a pod.
Sport is stupid and a real life sitcom which shouldn't be taken seriously. It's entertainment. Hearing people lose their minds over it and ringing up to defend their state-owned club or somehow try and stick of for their owners over-spending does not resonate with me.
There is not enough sport to fill a whole schedule of radio. That's where faux outrage/debate comes from.
"oh crap. We have 2 hours to fill. Right, I'll take the stance that Everton should be punished more and you take the stance that Everton have been unfairly treated. That'll get them calling in"
Is Luke Littler the GREATEST TEENAGE SPORTSMAN OF ALL TIME?The best one I can remember is Porky Parry arguing that Tiger Woods wasn't a great sportsmen because golf isn't a proper sport. Shamelessly filled an hour.
Candy came from out on the islandCandy the other day said he was glad brighton were out of the europa league, i wonder why?. In some mad way I thought it was quite amusing, it's still hurting all those shite appointments from us and paying shedloads. Lol.
