What to expect?, I am dead against it, who's going to cook my dinner and wash my cloths
:moo:if she's flouncing about at the Amex ....:flounce: and then there's the offside rule?, she will probably celebrate winning a corner!...but my son has been driving me mad to get his mum a ticket for an albion match so we can all go together, so I suppose the old girl can have a day off!.

:moo:

In the tradition of NSC, shouldn't this thread be referring to taking your 'wife up the Amex'? Poor show.

I took my GF to the Watford game last year. she was a bit baffled by two goals at each end before kick off. When the game started she was quite surprised that there wasn't a commentator! I didn't even try to explain the offside rule, throw ins and corners etc, that was far to complicated!

took my wife and she now has a season ticket - result! Get to go to every home game plus a fair few away from home

she spends most of the time watching and commenting on the crowd's antics but who cares?!

I would never take my girlfriend to the football. Having a partner go to the football is a big nono for me!

Taking my wife today for the first time to the Amex.. Last time she went to see Albion was a Boxing Day game at the Goldstone v Palarse over 40 years ago. No segregation of fans then and I remember asking a visiting fan if he knew any adjectives that did not begin with the letter F. Fortunately for me , as he was a big bugger, he did not know what an adjective was.

With the Albion, at least she should be satisfied with a slow, patient buildup from the back rather than simply smashing it straight up the middle.

However after all that she might be unhappy with the messy finishing and where it ends up.
