I think GIMPS would be more appropriate.

London Irish said:That covers about everyone, doesn't it? No one on here can judge another's "means".
Les Biehn said:Errm.. You have, I've seen you plenty of times castigate people for not being at games when the chances are they couldn't afford to go.
London Irish said:Utter shit. What I've said quite a few times is that people's opinions of the tactical intricacies of games are generally limited in value if they haven't watched a game in question, which is common sense, but not that they are somehow bad fans if they haven't been.

We have few if any real sycophants but we do have quite a few fans who are reluctant to criticise the club for fear of being labelled bad fans.
If you do find fault at times it does not make you a bad fan just as toeing the party line does not make you a good one.
Being a good fan is taking all the shit and still coming back for more.
Still dissapointed we have not outed them though.

But if they truly believe in what Dk and co are doing what is wrong with that?
Just because others don't agree with them doesn't make them wrong or sycophants just their opinion.
Don't drag me into this discussion on the basis that I'm one of those who agree with the Club "even though they know a mistake has been made (maybe over ticketing allocation or something)".Questions said:.....................................................
Maybe the ones who have got too close. The ones who agree even though they know a mistake has been made (maybe over ticketing allocation or something.)
Apart from Ian Hart. Which other ''faces'.' Are there any.

If it ends up looking like the disgraceful mess that was the proposal for selling tickets if there had been a replay, it'll need to be changed again.

Absolutely spot on. Forget all this talk of sycophancy and 'superfans', Brighton fans actually split into two camps: Realists and Fanatasists. The 'usual suspects' named in this thread (Lord, B, TLO, Yorkie, L.I.) I would firmly put in the 'Realist' camp. And no I don't always agree with them.Kent Seagull said:Perhaps the names you mention and a few others on here have been around long enough to understand some of the realities we face, not just in the football club but in life as well.
I don't like some of the things that are happening to the Albion but I do feel that at the present time the Directors of the club are doing the very best they can in very difficult circumstances. Things will obviously get better when we eventually get Falmer but even then we need to be realistic about what the club is likely to achieve. We are not and never have been a big club, we have spent the majority of our existance in the division we are currently playing and are unlikely to have Premier League, European Football and an overflowing trophy room, even with Falmer. Ambition is fine but expectations of success need to be realistic.
