Swindon will pay up
Swindon chief executive Mark Devlin has assured fans the club will avoid being wound up by meeting a payment deadline.
The cash-strapped Wiltshire club have to pay £100,000 under the terms of the Company Voluntary Arrangement.
The six-figure sum should have been paid to the offices of CVA supervisors Hacker Young and Partners on July 1 and technically the club could face a winding-up order should they fail to meet the August 1 deadline.
Devlin said: "I think considering where the club was 15-16 months ago to where it is now people can see what we have worked on. They will definitely get paid

"The costs have been cut, we've got more revenue than before and the club is being run in a prudent fashion these days.
"However, it has been a very tough year, as it has been with most Football League club, particularly in terms of cash flow and this is the reason for the late payment of this year's CVA monies.
"Hacker Young are aware of our intentions to make the due payments by the end of this week and I understand that they are very comfortable with this arrangement.
"This week they will definitely get paid."
