Not a role call or what pub are we meeting in thread.

Out of interest is Swansea still as a dodgy place to visit as an away fan or since they have moved ground has it calmed down somewhat?

Have had some interesting trips there in the past, that is all.

I was at the Liberty Stadium on friday, picking up my tickets, its a really nice ground and good access in and out of there, quite a bit around like fast food outlets etc, there is a big car park outside the ground but im not sure if all and sundry can park there, i doubt that is the case (I did ask the guy on reception while i was waiting for my tickets and he didnt know :dunce: )

I wouldnt say its a dodgy place to visit, but there again there fans are known for being a bit OTT, I think most that are going will enjoy it, (spose the result might have something to do with that as well :lolol: )

Its a local game for me, only 20 miles away .............so see you all there :clap2: :drink: :clap2: :drink: :clap2: :drink:

Any idea what the town is like pre-game these days? It could be a bit sporting in the past.

It might not be a good idea for the GDC to turn up in Village People outfits.

Personally i have never experianced it, but a work collegue is a swansea STH and he says its fine, i think you will only get trouble if your looking for it, my son was down from sheffield on the weekend and his G/F went into swansea on sat night she said it was brilliant, unlike sheffield where theres constant fighting etc she said everyone was really friendly, i have an office right in the center of swansea and i have to be honest all the people i meet from there are nice people, ive been in wales now 23 years and that english / welsh thing in the main has dissapeared (apart from when england play wales at rugby :p )

My drinks fridge is well stocked :drink: :lolol:

Does anyone else on here remember the game at their old ground (mid 90s?) when about 30 of their hooligans jumped over their stand (to our left) and ran towards the away end?

Brighton had 'firm' with them that day, and it was laughable to see Swansea get to our end, and then not have the bollocks (or want to risk the ten foot drop into the away end and a broken ankle!) to get to us....generated into a spitting contest

Mind you I was on coke that day, so my memory may have been a bit hazy

And I tried to get two tickets for the Swansea match from the Albion's ticket office and can only get one! So, I now have to rely on my Orient supporting mate who just happens to live in Gorseinon and is happy to support the Albion in our end to get us tickets for the Swansea family stand as our elated club won't budge on letting me purchase a ticket for him.

Fookers!!

My 2 tickets are for the Swansea main stand  they are complimentry ones and i asked if i could swap them for 2 away tickets and was told "no chance" so everytime we score i am just going to have to sit on my hands :nono:

From todays argus

No parking is available to Albion fans travelling by car to Swansea's Liberty Stadium. They should instead use the Park and Ride, signposted 350 yards after leaving junction 45 of the M4, priced £5 per vehicle.

Coaches and mini-buses should follow the brown stadium signs and park at the stadium, priced £10 per vehicle.

Match tickets must be bought in advance and there are no pubs for away fans close to the ground, which is strictly non-smoking.
