Less than 20 minutes away from a place in the EFL, outdoing so many full-time ex-football league clubs in the process.
No mean achievement!
No mean achievement!
Am I right in thinking that like Harrogate they would have gained promotion with a 4G pitch?
I wonder how much of an advantage that is?
Although in the Football League they will have to play on grass.
It is still an amazing achievement and well done to Sutton United.
Well done by them. First semi-professional club to take the step up since Burton in 2008/09, I think.
Ex Albion u-23 David Ajiboye playing his part
Quite a few other players on their books with Albion and Sussex links, too:-
* Former Albion academy player Callum Kealy
* Louis John, who scored today, is a former Crawley Town scholar and pro (and has been on loan at Bognor and Lewes)
* Goalkeeper Brad House is from Worthing
* Adam Lovatt grew up in Eastbourne and joined Sutton from Hastings United this season
* Omar Bugiel has had spells with Worthing, Burgess Hill Town and Bognor Regis
That's great news; Sutton seems like a decent club.
Saw them beat Coventry City in the F A Cup. Congratulations on their latest triumph.
