Gettable total but Luke never got going, played and missed loads whIch meant we dropped behind the run rate early on and never properly caught up apart from a flurry around the 9th/10th overs. Taylor started the same but eventually started to find the middle but was too tall an order for the last 7/8 overs to keep up with the run rate. Jordan's running between the wickets was AWFUL.......

A rare breed watching the Albion in the winter and Surrey in the summer I am happy.

Good to see Roy score heavily again and the Curran brothers bowl economically. The future of English limited overs cricket looks good.

Not often going to beat a side when they have a Centurion, sounded like some of the bowling to Roy was poor but he is a class act in this form of the game so well played Surrey.

Overall not too worried, Sussex stuffed Somerset, who must be favourites in this format.

I'm more concerned about the County Championship where I can't see us getting promoted this term.

Win another game or two out of the next three with near maximum points and we will be back in it, like the Albion we may be hard to beat. Its a shame 20 20 gets in the way, I felt we were on a roll in the championship where we have got passed three of the big teams in the league with three draws, we effective have two home games next at Arundel and Hove followed by another one thats as good as a home game away at Tunbridge Wells to Kent.

After these three we then have a test away at Essex 4 August but I doubt they will have Cook then. We always seem to improve in the second half of the season, lets hope we stay injury free. They must be targeting two or three wins out off these next games.

Home (Arundel) Northamptonshire (lets hope that fella don't get a double ton again)

Home (Hove) Glamorgan

Away (Tunbridge Wells) Kent

Away (Colchester) Essex

Home (Hove) Gloucestershire

Away (Cardiff) Glamorgan

Home (Hove) Kent
