Bring me sunshine....

Stuck in a wet Nottingham, where the news is Sidebottom has turned down a 2 year deal with Notts, lets hope we can get promoted and offer him a three year deal down on the sunny southcoast.

Sussex are expected to name an unchanged side when they take on second-placed Glamorgan in the LV County Championship at Hove tomorrow.

Glamorgan will be without skipper Jamie Dalrymple, who has a broken finger.

The squad from:

JE Anyon
BC Brown
CD Collymore
MW Goodwin
LJ Hatchett
AJ Hodd
EC Joyce
CD Nash
MS Panesar
OP Rayner
LJ Wright
MH Yardy (c)
Yasir Arafat

No surprise but no play this morning. Hopeful of play sometime this afternoon.

Bruce Talbot of The Argus is expecting the club to announce that Amjad Khan is joining next season.

That does give the attack some real pace, if he can stay fit.

I do wonder if they are going to bring in a batsman rather than stick with Yassir.

There's a post on the sussex messageboard regarding a batsman that would be a bit of coup. Robinson has mentioned something apparently. All hush hush though. I am kind of hoping it's Solanki.

If it is Amjad, where's the money coming from? Kent not offering him a contract for financial reasons, and we can? Exciting times.

It does depend if we can have teh 2005 version, the one from the last couple of years is not so good.

Amir?

I thought he was too old when we resigned this summer, but he was pretty decent with bat and ball

According to the forum Hodd's definetely going as well. Not sure about that at all, still have him in the team purely as a batsmen unless we've a big new signing
