HT, this could go to pens

HORSHAM are holding Brighton and Hove Albion Reserves to a 1-1 draw at half time at Woodside Road - a score line their first half performance more than deserves.

The usually dependably Rob Tolfrey gifted Brighton's opener on 21 minutes, getting caught in possession by Kane Louis who slotted into an empty net.

But Makr Knee's bullett header from Russell Eldridge's corner levelled things up after half an hour, and it's been an even half of football so far here.

Brighton have dominated the last five minutes possession wise. Horsham need to get to half time

2-1 Louis again

56 mins: GOAL FOR BRIGHTON. Kane Louis doubles his and Brighton's tally with a thunderbolt from 20 yards. The striker evaded a lunging challenge from Acheampong before belting one in from outside the area. Brigthon lead and they are the better side in the second half.

Just back from game - well, having sidled in to watch most of the second half anyway - and we came out comfortable 4-1 winners in the end. Two goals from Harty finished 'em off, the second a great flowing move that went the length of the pitch. Could do with some of that on Saturday.

McLeod hit two steamers close and there were other efforts not too far away. Sullivan largely a spectator. And the ref hurt his leg and had to be replaced by a substitute ref.

And I got the last of the chips. So all in all a worthwhile 40 minutes :jester:

Well done to the lads for making another SSC final and giving some of us another good day out in Eastbourne.

What was Louis' second like? Meant to be quite good apparently.

Good goal - not sure it was from 25 yards though (seemed like the edge of the area). Very well struck and was past the keeper before he could move.

Hart's first goal was funny. Brinkhurst had taken the ball into the area, about level with the pen spot and to the left, but was surrounded by about 3 defenders. Hart suddenly arrives on the spot and expects a pass that doesn't come. 'Pass the f*****g ball' he shouts and sure enough he gets it straight away and sends it past the keeper - who isn't at all happy. I suppose you can say those things to the kids when you're a senior pro.
