Thanks ROBERT. I think the plan was to drink around town and then meander up to the ground. Just checked the trains and can get to Eastbourne for 1045, so 15 minutes to find a pub and then go from there.
The nearest station to the ground is Pevensey and Westham. I think there's a pub there also. About 20 mins walk.

Yep, it pissed down just as I got out the car! Priory lane is an impressive stadium. Probably the second best non-league ground in Sussex after Crawley. Good covered enclosures on three sides of the ground with seating on the other. The only downpoint: The pitch of the roof covering the seats means only those in theback hree rows or so of the stand, manage to keep dry. The front of the stand was not the place to be today. Albion took the lead on around 12 minutes with a penalty from John Piercy after Sean Edwards brought down Chris McPhee. From my view it looked a harsh decision, the ref taking no account of the awful conditions. The rest of the half was entertaining and evenly matched. The second half, both sides battled with neither really making any clear cut chances. Dean Hammond scored the second midway through the second half. For the Albion, Gary Hart and Chris McPhee always looked a threat whilst El Abd looked really solid. No Jake from the start though. Why? Maybe the plan was to put David Lee in the shop window? His performance isn't worth comment! Worthing battled hard, but it wasn't their day. Their large turnout of Fans were in great voice right through to the end. The Albion support was a bit muted today I thought. Well...apart from the south stand screamer who made a comeback today! Choice of M.O.T.M. was spot on imo. Paul Rogers never stopped running today and was an inspiration to his team.....

I thought Lee did Ok - first touch and passing were good - but maybe he can only do it at this standard.

Dodge MOM must have been for sentimental reasons - El Abd was my MOM. From where I stood it was a definite penalty, although didn't think it was Edwards who fouled.

Kuipers looked very solid, as did whole defence. Hammond and Beck look good prospects BUT this is nowhere near Div 2 (or even Div 1) standard.

Nice little stadium and job well done by the Albion - don't think I could have stood the bragging if we had lost!

hammond looked really good, i think he should be on bench for wrexham game. Gary Hart put in some great tackles, Beck looked quite skillful. Robinson was very lively when he came on. He set up dave lee with an open goal.....

I thought El-Abd was superb yesterday. A really commanding performance.
It looked a definate penalty to me. And Hammonds goal was very well taken.
The weather was a bit shite as was the fact that I queued 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and when I got back to the stand the ball came straight at me and I split my drink.
