That was shocking. Came out of East stand turned left towards station. There’s a huge crowd not moving and trying to get forward. After 10 minutes find out there’s barriers and everyone has to go long way round so everyone that im wants to get to station trudges up round the back of the south stand to find the Palace fans are out and kettled so we can’t get passed! Loads of Albion fans asking Police and stewards what they’re meant to do and we get told they’ve moved the barriers so we all turn round and trudge back. Wasted 20 minutes of everyone’s time pointlessly. Shambles.

I was confronted with this and just waited until it cleared ..sod walking around the whole stadium …there were certainly a few having a go at the police and stewards…..the problem wasn’t helped by putting out the usual barriers for the players…if they had delayed that then maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad

All seemed completely ****ed up. I came out of the east end of the north stand after it being a proper crush to get out, to then be confronted by a wall of fans trying to walk around past the east. Managed to turn left towards the station and once out of the crowd of people was able to walk straight down to the station. How come all those people heading round the east from the west stand didn't just do what I did if they were trying to get to the station? Or have I missed something?!

West stand was forced to go clockwise once we left. Those of us using the P&R then had no choice but to go against the flow.

Ah, so if they wanted the train they could walk down to the station. I was confused as when I was trying to work out why so many people were walking clockwise I heard a few people say you had to go clockwise to get the train. Luckily I ignored them and got out towards the station!

Total confusion and very dangerous. The club definitely have some explaining to do if it was their idea

Almost, we’ve just been let out of the south west.
We went clockwise as advised and were stopped at the east stand The police then Aggressively sent everyone back around anti clockwise and stopped everyone back at the Palace fans. We were herded into the South west and not allowed out until they’d gone.

For that very reason, my coach went without me! Luckily one of the coach park stewards gave me a lift home. I won’t be going to anymore Palace games!

Well done to those coach park stewards I heard this had happened. The guys that run Seagull Travel were getting some rather aggressive comments from some passengers ... mainly those complaining they were waiting too long before leaving the coach park! What would they be thinking if it was them that ended up missing the coaches because of being held like you were?!

I was very lucky and managed to get onto my ST bus quite quickly ... yes, it was a longer wait than usual ... but that was to be expected. Going by many of the comments on here I'm so glad I didn't get caught up in the crush which does sound rather dangerous! Hopefully all have got home safely.

After seeing kids and women getting crushed in the north stand entrance on exit I spoke to a copper who said it was the clubs idea and they where sending urgent messages to those in charge it wasn’t working Barber has some explaining to do.

Wow, sounds like I was lucky this evening having missed all this.
Left the west stand and went clockwise to the coach park as directed, A little busy around the first East Stand exit, but shuffled to the side away from the stadium, and an easy walk to the coach park, where this time (unlike previous seasons) I was able to to reach the coach park steps without being crushed onto the narrow path at the foot of the bank.
At the time I thought this was a better experience than previous years, seems from reading posts above this was not the case.

No it wasn’t barriers for the players, it was to force people to go clockwise round the south and west stand to get to the station. Loads of people coming out of North stand at the gates there and having to walk all the way round the stadium. The stewards then moved them as so many people were backing up and those that had turned around couldn’t get passed the south stand due to the kettled Palace fans. All while no stewards or police around to tell anyone what was going on or what the crowd should be doing.

Ah….I just went by what one of the stewards told me ….I just got lucky then ..hung around and got through without issue…but there certainly were a lot of unhappy people

I was pushed aggressively by a copper as I waited having been sent back from the east stand as we have always done. I aggressively pushed him back and questioned his right to do it to me and if he considered doing it again I'll deck him. He thought better of it.

I was outside trying to get by and saw them open the big roller gate, the groundsmen use, to ease the crush at the north stand exit. Was surprised at how crowded it was inside still.

Especially when many would head out their usual exit Only to find it Shut
But on a personal note I actually got onto the ramp to the trains
PDQ and got home quite early compared to usual
Why Not keep the Travelling army of pathetic pyrotechnics behind until
Everyone else has left the building and got clear of the venue
Then escort them on their way
