What a crap season they're having.

Missing Mushy no doubt ... and this international thing is going just too far with the loss of Luke Wright to the England team as well.

What's the point of a team producing good cricketers if they're going to be snapped up by their country and unavailable for their county?

The international cricket whole set-up is rubbish.

Isn't the idea of county cricket to produce players for your country. That could change though with the 2020 champions league (in 2020 anyway)

You could argue that one very big reason for some of our recent success is that we had a lot of very good players who weren't quite playing regularly for England - unlike a lot of our county rivals. And Mushy, of course.

That has changed a bit this season, and it was bound to have an effect on the team. And Adams is looking like a player who is struggling to justify his place at the moment, which is another big change.

Sure it's good to produce players for your country, but not when there's so much damned international cricket that their county loses them all together.

In the good old days (one visiting test match country per summer, maximum five tests) players like Ted Dexter and Jim Parks played for England, but I don't recall them missing too many county games.

Unles we can do something in the pro 40 (which is quite unlikely) then its a potless season. We sure as hell aint gonna win the LVCC!

Going backwards. The loss of Mushy and Wrighty hasnt helped I admit.

Why do you say that? We're just jank at this 20/20 bollocks.

When we get Wright back and Mushy comes back (rested) into the side we'll be a completely different proposition. I bet the players can't wait for the real cricket to start again.

Mushy has been off form all season, and now he is injured, it looks like this could be his last season.

OUr problem now is that we have lots of bowlers that can contain the run rate, but we dont have any wicket takers
Mushtaq, Saqulain, Rana, Harris were those wicket takers.
Now we have Kirtley, Smith, Collymore, Liddle, RMJ, Lewry who all bowl great line and length and can keep the run rate down. Problem is their bowling is too slow and predictable for 20/20 cricket and we get punished badly. But seems to be OK for CC cricket.

Wright is probably our only srtike bowler, but he is really expensive sometimes, and obviously England call ups come into play.

I blame yesterdays defeat on Yardy for wearing Liddles shirt confusing everyone in the team and trying to feel their earlobes

We are only 6 points off the top of the County Championship, we have to play Yorkshire and Lancashire home and away and Notts still have to comes to Hove.

Mushy will be back for the Lancashire home game, the pitches will hopefully have dried out. With any luck they will start playing Aga, so has a bit more pace than the other bowlers and can swing it boths ways, Wright will be back.

It just happens we are a tad poor at 20/20 this season.

that is a very lancashire-esque argument. you could argue that our recent success has been mainly down to the fact that we have lost hardly any players to international duty
